Your Role at Impact:As an Associate Software Engineer, you will focus on delivering squad tasks, end-to-end testing, assisting QA with staging environments, and fixing broken builds.
This role requires understanding all aspects of a programming language and applying previous solutions to new challenges independently.
You should have practical experience with design patterns, unit testing, CI, and integration testing. Exposure to at least one cloud platform, including console usage and basic app development, is essential.
At this level, you should confidently reuse existing frameworks and work independently on familiar tasks.
During sprint planning and design sessions, you should ask questions to understand the business context behind tasks.
You will also assist with environment setup and onboarding new team members.
What You'll Do:- Develop, test, and maintain platform software.
- Create meaningful unit, functional, and integration tests.

- Perform ongoing configuration on the nCino KYC Africa system to adjust the application for customer needs.
- Educate customers on new product features and functionalities, enhancing their experience with the system.
- Resolve product-related issues and concerns swiftly and efficiently.
- Proactively identify and address process gaps to improve customer satisfaction.
- Approach all tasks with dedication and a positive, energetic attitude.
- Collaborate across departments to solve customer issues when necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. A combination of education, experience, and superior performance is acceptable.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, account management, or a similar role.
- Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, with a focus on delivering quality technical support.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Basic Excel proficiency.
- High energy and a positive attitude, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and think creatively.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a driven, humbly confident attitude.

Role RequirementsThe role is built for someone with:
- A solid background in the public and private sector, specialising in land infrastructure from township to site-specific scale.
- Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software. Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of CAD Software.
- A general understanding of BIM processes (working knowledge will be advantageous).
- Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
- Strong work-winning, client-facing capability and experience.
- Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organisational levels).
- Assist in preparing and coordinating tenders/bids and contribute to winning work initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects that are within scope and budget.
- Establish a clear understanding of project goals and stakeholder expectations, specifically managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets expectations.
- Lead and coordinate small and medium projects, including managing delivery teams, reporting on budgets and schedules, and maintaining team morale.
- Produce other key deliverables on projects, such as technical reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
