Job Description
Act as the Assistant Resident Engineer on a large Water Treatment Works contract in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Area (South Coast).
Assist the Resident Engineer in the following tasks:
- Lead and manage the Construction Supervision Team overseeing the Construction of the Works.
- Oversee the works ensuring full compliance with Designs.
- Supervise the planning, coordination and implementation of the Construction Works.
- Manage the Contractor’s Programme and Budget.
- Manage a large multi-disciplinary construction monitoring team.
- Control of Drawings and Design Documentation and keeping current records.
- Evaluating the Construction Works throughout the Construction Period.
- Prepare and issue payment certificates.
- Deal with Contractual Claims, resolve disputes and make determinations.
- Manage Health and Safety on site and ensure full compliance.
- Manage Quality Control Procedures on site, including materials and construction.
- Prepare Monthly reports on Programme and related site matters, including incident reporting.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including the Client, the Community, Landowners and other entities.
- Manage Target Enterprise Contractors.
- Monitor progress of construction against a programme and take steps to ensure the programme is achieved.
- Contract Administration and handling of Contractual Claims.
- Documentation and Reporting, including Daily Diaries, Photographic history, Progress, Incident, Quality Records, As-Built information etc.
- Attend and chair meetings (progress, technical and other).
Requirements:
- BSc, BEng Degree or B Tech with a professional status in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Structural / C&I / Social Engineering coupled with at least 10 years’ experience in being the Assistant or Resident Engineer on Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Structural / Control and Instrumentation / Social Projects, including mechanical, electrical, process, structural and civil engineering.
- Professional Registration with ECSA and SACPCMP or similar with 10 years’ experience as the Resident Engineer on Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Construction Contracts of a complex nature.

We are looking for a nurse to join our TB team.
We have a Band 6 post for a Community TB Support Nurse, working alongside the Band 7 TB Nurse Specialist and consultant lead.
This is a Monday to Friday post, 8am-4pm, and does not include Bank Holidays.
The post holder will be based at Wycombe Hospital but will be expected to travel to various Trust sites and visit patients as needed within Buckinghamshire.
We manage a corporate caseload of clients, providing care in their homes.
A valid driving licence is essential, as the role requires travel to BHT venues, community centres, and patient homes within Buckinghamshire.
The post holder will provide specialist TB input supporting the service pathway within acute, community, and outpatient settings, using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge.
The role encompasses all aspects of individualised care for our clients, including contact tracing, DOT/VOT under guidance from N.I.C.E.
It involves nurse-led clinics, initiating diagnostic tests, and commencing patients on active and LTBI treatment.
We also offer an in-reach service to hospitals and are part of the Thames Valley TB Network with UKHSA.
Advice and support are provided to patients and their carers, including education and self-management support.
The role involves supporting skills and knowledge development in community nursing and acute care, providing specialist clinical expertise, mentoring, and working collaboratively to improve patient and staff experiences.
