- Property Operations Management:

About this role
The Asset Manager’s role is to ensure performance of the portfolio of PV, Wind and BESS projects, by management of commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations. It involves overseeing and implementing all commercial and administrative tasks, and undertakings for each Project Company. The Asset Manager will act as an executive manager for the project and manage all interactions with the Board of Directors and third parties related to each Project Company, ensuring compliance with the terms of the Management Service Agreement. The Senior Asset Manager will assist various departments across the business and participate in projects from development to financial close, ensuring financial viability and identifying any potentially challenging provisions that may impede implementation, thus ensuring the projects we take ownership of are financially sound. The Senior Manager will support the Head of Asset Management by advising on, and implementation of, best practice systems and processes as the portfolio of assets grows.
Key responsibilities
- Assume ultimate responsibility and accountability for SPV asset management, overseeing activities from financial close through the full PPA concession across a number of assets.
- Supporting asset managers & analysts and providing oversight across a portfolio of assets.
- Drive both financial and operational performance to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Measure and ensure that projects are delivering returns as forecast.
- Assess operational performance and identify areas for enhanced performance, through minimizing downtime, conducting root cause analyses.
- Take charge of driving profits through strategic initiatives such as refinancing, plant performance improvements, and other optimizations.
- Facilitate the identification, development, and implementation of improvements in business processes.
- Monitor project-level profit & loss (P&L) activities, conducting analyses of budget variance, CF Forecast, and solar plants budget reviews to guarantee expected financial returns.
- Manage project insurance activities.
- Administer all project financing agreements, including monitoring payments, handling loan disbursement, and equity contributions. Act as the key point of contact with Senior Lenders, executing bank transactions and ensuring compliance with all covenants and required provisions.
- Produce monthly/quarterly/annual management and plant performance reports.
- Prepare quarterly board packs and host board meetings.
- Review and authorize monthly payment schedules.
- Support development team with inputs and assumptions during bidding & project financial close process including supporting in contract negotiations.
- Support construction management team in preparation for post-FC workstreams.
General Asset Management Tasks (non-exhaustive)
- Ensure each asset fulfills obligations and exercises rights under project agreements.
- Manage key stakeholder relations, including Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, Eskom, NERSA, private off-takers, lenders, shareholders, and local government.
- Manage and compile monthly stakeholder reports.
- Manage and update project financial models.
- Prepare annual plans and budgets.
- Ensure all reporting in accordance with project agreements (Financing agreements, PPA, IA, etc.).
- Maintain documents in line with the team's filing and project management system.
- Management of SPV during construction, including all utilization requests under the financing agreements.
- Supporting the development team during bidding and financial close.
- Manage and support the social investment program, meeting each asset's Enterprise Development and Socio-Economic Development obligations, and providing oversight as a member of the Social and Ethics Committee.
- Provide highly organized and structured financial and operating reports to the Board of the SPV or project company.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management frameworks within each asset.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies, overseeing timely renewal and certification.
- Visit project sites and local communities as necessary.
- Manage relationships with landowners, acting as a key point of contact.
- Managing relationships with the Boards of Directors of the project SPVs, advisors, EPC, and O&M Contractors.
- Manage group reporting for Mulilo’s portfolio of assets.
Required skills and education background.
- Engineering (preferably Electrical) qualification with advanced financial/commercial acumen.
- 5-10 years strong and proven commercial experience in a South African infrastructure asset management environment.

The Senior Asset Manager will assist various departments across the business and participate in projects from development to financial close, ensuring financial viability and identifying any potentially challenging provisions that may impede implementation, thus ensuring the projects we take ownership of are financially sound. The Senior Manager will support the Head of Asset Management by advising on, and implementation of, best practice systems and processes as the portfolio of assets grows.
Key responsibilities
- Assume ultimate responsibility and accountability for SPV asset management, overseeing activities from financial close through the full PPA concession across a number of assets.
- Supporting asset managers & analysts and providing oversight across a portfolio of assets.
- Drive both financial and operational performance to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Measure and ensure that projects are delivering returns as forecast.
- Assess operational performance and identify areas for enhanced performance, through minimizing downtime, conducting root cause analyses.
- Take charge of driving profits through strategic initiatives such as refinancing, plant performance improvements, and other optimizations.
- Facilitate the identification, development, and implementation of improvements in business processes.
- Monitor project-level profit & loss (P&L) activities, conducting analyses of budget variance, CF Forecast, and solar plants budget reviews to guarantee expected financial returns.
- Manage project insurance activities.
- Administer all project financing agreements, including monitoring payments, handling loan disbursement, and equity contributions. Act as the key point of contact with Senior Lenders, executing bank transactions and ensuring compliance with all covenants and required provisions.
- Produce monthly/quarterly/annual management and plant performance reports.
- Prepare quarterly board packs and host board meetings.
- Review and authorize monthly payment schedules.
- Support development team with inputs and assumptions during bidding & project financial close process including supporting in contract negotiations.
- Support construction management team in preparation for post-FC workstreams.
General Asset Management Tasks (non-exhaustive)
- Ensure each asset fulfills obligations and exercises rights under project agreements.
- Manage key stakeholder relations, including Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, Eskom, NERSA, private off-takers, lenders, shareholders, and local government.
- Manage and compile monthly stakeholder reports.
- Manage and update project financial models.
- Prepare annual plans and budgets.
- Ensure all reporting in accordance with project agreements (Financing agreements, PPA, IA, etc.).
- Maintain documents in line with the team's filing and project management system.
- Management of SPV during construction, including all utilization requests under the financing agreements.
- Supporting the development team during bidding and financial close.
- Manage and support the social investment program, meeting each asset's Enterprise Development and Socio-Economic Development obligations, and providing oversight as a member of the Social and Ethics Committee.
- Provide highly organized and structured financial and operating reports to the Board of the SPV or project company.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management frameworks within each asset.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies, overseeing timely renewal and certification.
- Visit project sites and local communities as necessary.
- Manage relationships with landowners, acting as a key point of contact.
- Managing relationships with the Boards of Directors of the project SPVs, advisors, EPC, and O&M Contractors.
- Manage group reporting for Mulilo’s portfolio of assets.
Required skills and education background.
- Engineering (preferably Electrical) qualification with advanced financial/commercial acumen.
- 5-10 years strong and proven commercial experience in a South African infrastructure asset management environment.
- Experience on large infrastructure asset construction.
- Advanced contracts management skillset.
- Advanced understanding of financial modelling and analysis.
- Excellent verbal & written communication.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Proven track record of data interpretation and reporting skills.
- Excellent Project Management skills.
- Reporting experience to various Boards of Infrastructure Asset Companies is an essential requirement.
- Knowledge and application of relevant compliance requirements with complex contractual entities.
- Detail oriented and diligent with a high level of initiative.
- Ability to establish and follow processes.
- Understanding of PV, Wind and BESS design, operation, and key commercial and business drivers.
- Knowledgeable in the systems, processes and protocols guiding the operations and maintenance of utility scale PV, Wind and BESS projects.
- Wind construction experience is a plus.

Product and Marketing Material Management
- Lead the coordination and production of investment product materials, including factsheets, presentations, and other collateral, ensuring consistency and quality across alljurisdictions.
- Maintain and enhance the suite of marketing and communication materials used to support distribution efforts globally.
- Ensure all product-related content adheres to relevant compliance and regulatory standards.
Data and Reporting

- Ensure investment content used in due diligence and proposal documents is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with global standards.
Collaboration and Global Coordination
- Work closely with the global asset management team (SA and International) to ensure alignment of product messaging, data, and materials across regions.
- Act as a central point of contact for cross-border initiatives, supporting the global consistency of investment communications and product positioning.
- Foster strong working relationships with teams across the company to support the delivery of high-quality, globally relevant investment content
