The marketing leader will build awareness, maximize and optimize traffic through the management of a portfolio of marketing channels and initiatives, and will lead customer activation, reactivation and retention activities. The leader will also have responsibility for the growth of the Prime membership program, both in member count and engagement in shopping and digital benefits. This role is based in South Africa and serves on the senior management team for the South Africa business, as well as working closely with the worldwide Marketing & Prime teams and peers across the Middle East & Emerging region.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading functions and teams, ideally in an online marketing or product environment. They will need to grasp the big picture, create ambitious goals for the team, input into the design of marketing strategy and communicate the strategies for Singapore to achieve these goals, and inspire and mentor the team. More importantly, they will need to inspire confidence and credibility with business partners locally and globally to help support and drive the ambitious growth targets for the business in the upcoming years. Finally, they will need to operate at all levels, from executive engagement to executing alongside their team.
Key job responsibilities
Work with Regional Marketing & Prime leadership to lead the marketing strategy for South Africa, including investment levels, strategic priorities and implementation plans.
Maximize revenue generation, cash flow and customer acquisition through the development of new marketing channels and strategic initiatives.
Manage all stages of the customer funnel, including Awareness, Acquisition, Engagement, and Retention.
Manage and grow the Prime program, including all acquisition, retention and engagement activities.
Manage on-site marketing for Homepage and Cross-site initiatives, including major Deals events, and ensure a superb customer experience.
Manage customer relationship and lifecycle management programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with regional PR to support major launches and events.
Develop customer insights and follow market segment trends closely to anticipate challenges and opportunities.
Continually improve the efficacy and efficiency of fixed and variable marketing spend.
Work closely with key local business leaders to support the growth of the marketplace.

- Ensuring that the needs and expectations of your assigned clients are managed and met
- Working to improve the results from email marketing for your assigned clients

The Account Manager must be able to act swiftly upon receiving urgent requests from clients and must be able to work consistently with high levels of accountability.
The right person will be professional and also have considerable leadership and managerial experience, as well as strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams. Having been an Account Manager before, or having any agency experience is a great advantage.
Familiarity with various tools such as Slack, Hubstaff, Asana, Klaviyo, and Google Workspace Suite is a must for this role. The candidate should also feel comfortable working in a remote environment. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management.
- 5 years of experience within this role.
- Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media, etc.) and market research methods
- Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite and CRM), and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.)
- Comprehensive understanding of top social media platforms
- In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
- Familiarity with different types of social media content
- Ability to create targeted audiences and conduct A/B testing
- Proficient with social media management tools, such as reposting apps and scheduling utilities
- Excellent creative thinking, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The Digital Marketing Specialist responsible for all digital marketing campaigns, including generating leads, conducting market research and actively engaging with the business to optimize the performance of our digital strategies.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record in planning and executing backlink campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, backlink tools, and SEO best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and SEO reporting.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant platforms.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a digital marketing strategy
- Creating visual concepts for promotional activities
- Managing the digital marketing calendar
