  • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
  • Licensed AME with a SACAA W1, W2, W3 License (Essential);
  • Compass Swing (Advantageous);
  • Completed B737 – 400 and 800 Avionics and airframe series and CFM 56-3C1 and -7B series engines courses;
  • li>Licensed AME with a SACAA W & X License;
  • Certified on B737; 400/800 airframe series and CFM;
  • Minimum of 5 years aviation experience;
  • Line or SVM experience;
  • Previous experience working on B737; 400 and 800 (Essential) 56-3C1 and 7B series engines;
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
  • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
  • Valid South-African passport holder;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;

Due to our continued growth and exciting new opportunities, we are seeking professionally minded and safety focused B1 & B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME’s) to join our team at our bases across Western Australia. Duties & Responsibilities Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with the aircraft’s approved maintenance data. Ensuring all parts and materials are airworthy and appropriate for their application. Reporting all defects or faults identified during maintenance of aircraft or aeronautical products to the allocated Maintenance Co-ordinator. Ensuring all certifications are made in accordance with the Aviair approved systems of certification. Desired Experience & Qualification Possess minimum 2 years work experience as an AME, preferably with a sound knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulations. Possess experience working on aircraft within our fleet or similar. Be highly motivated with a strong work ethic. Be able to work effectively as part of a tight knit team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment, able to problem-solve and provide concise recommendations. Be capable of multi-tasking and achieving goals and objectives. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DAMP). Ability to obtain an ASIC. Job Description:

The South African subsidiary of a world market leader in the helicopter industry, is recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

The primary function of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is to execute a high quality and standard of assembly and maintenance on helicopters or components in accordance with the latest revision of OEM manuals, Aviation Standard Practices, the Manufacturer Recommendations and the SACAA or other aviation regulations. Must hold a valid license for any of the following helicopters: H125, H130, H145, H215, H225)

  • To take full responsibility for any work for which the AME has stamped and signed for.
  • To execute a high quality and standard of maintenance and assembly of aircraft as per OEM documentation, SACAA and all other Airworthiness Authorities and Standards.
  • Always deliver a high quality and standard of work in accordance with local legislation and company rules as defined in CAR 145 of the CAA regulations, company Quality Manual and latest Manual of Procedures.
  • To ensure that knowledge is transferred to Junior Colleagues.
  • As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer of the Company you are to inform the MRO & Completions Manager of any irregularities noticed and assist management by having a positive influence on all other members within the department.
  • Must have a continuous attitude of being pro-active is encouraged and You are invited to participate with the planning and continuous improvement process of the department, subsequently ensuring the punctual delivery of airworthy helicopters on time, on cost, on quality as negotiated with the customer and thereby exceeds their expectations.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
