As an Agricultural Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting new clients and building strong relationships to conducting product demonstrations and negotiating contracts to closure. Success in this role requires staying current with industry trends and competitor activities, as well as handling the operational duties of receiving and inspecting new stock from suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Prospect New Clients
: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through
networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Build Relationships
: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to
understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations
: Conduct presentations to potential clients, highlighting key
features and benefits of the Agricultural products – also demonstrating the product.
- Negotiate Contracts
: Develop and negotiate proposals and contracts to support the
expectations of the service level agreement, and close sales effectively.
- Market Research
: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and
market dynamics to identify new opportunities and pivot where necessary.
- Ensure that all
marketing activities
are done consistently. - Handle the
receiving and inspection
of new stock from the supplier
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a Sales Consultant role.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and working in a competitive/fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of the Agri Machinery.
- A solution-driven attitude and good analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Must be fully Bilingual
- Successful candidates will need to travel periodically to promote and sell the equipment.

or related field (Master's is an advantage). - Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and modern agricultural technologies.
