We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanic to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and various machinery i.e., Vehicles, Bakkies and Agricultural Equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis: Identify the root cause of mechanical problems using diagnostic tools
• Repair: Perform necessary repairs, replacing faulty parts and ensuring proper functionality.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tyre rotations, to prevent future issues and extend the lifespan of machinery.
• Tools: Ability to work with specialized tools, technical manuals, and understanding of mechanical principles to perform their work effectively.

Qualifications:

• Trade tested Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic preferred
• Own vehicle
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performing auction checks on salvage vehicles.
• Checks includes to ascertain if vehicle is a starter or non-starter. If non-starter, be able to check why vehicle is unable to start.
• Perform basic checks on salvage vehicle such as Odometer reading, VIN and engine number checks.
• Send daily report on a vehicle checks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Have an extensive knowledge of vehicles. Not required to be a qualified Mechanic.
• Matric.
• Experience in the vehicle auctioneering industry will be an advantage.
