POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of People and Culture directs and implements a human capital strategy that is aligned with EO’s values and organizational objectives. This position provides integral HR leadership and human capital management with a high degree of customer service.   • Experience in the international nonprofit sector, knowledge of member association lifecycles or similar matrixed global organizations.

    Job Title : Managing Director

    Job Type : Full-time remote offshore. Open to candidates in South Africa or LATAM.

    Company Overview :

    We are a growing e-commerce company generating $5-10 million in annual revenue with a small internal team. Our business is poised for growth and were seeking an experienced and operationally focused Managing Director to take on a role that blends high-level strategy with hands-on execution in marketing and logistics. The ideal candidate will manage the complexities of both marketing and logistics driving efficiency growth and profitability.

    Position Overview :

    As the companys sole Managing Director you will have the unique responsibility of overseeing the entire operations of the company including managing outsourced marketing agencies and an internal staff. You will be required to identify and solve all problems; provide strategic oversight; hire manage and train team-members; and iteratively improve the business processes and financial performance. This is a dynamic role comprised of three separate functions : (1) formulating and executing marketing projects (2) providing oversight of marketing agencies and performance and (3) managing and improving daily operations. While all three functions involve some degree of delegation they are project-intensive and require an exceptionally high degree of autonomous learning organization execution and diligence.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Marketing Oversight :

    Formulate execute and iteratively improve all of the companies marketing strategies to grow cash flow.

  • Hold external marketing agencies handling paid media Google Ads SEO funnels social ads Meta etc. accountable for performance and provide directives to improve performance.
  • Logistics & Operations Oversight :
  • Develop a complete understanding and command of all the companys internal SOPs including fulfillment sales and shipping SOPs.

  • Continuously identify areas requiring improvement and implement appropriate SOPs and staff training.
  • Oversee the companys systems; decide how and when to change.
  • Team Leadership & Employee Oversight :
  • Oversee the performance of the internal team providing regular feedback and holding members accountable to role-specific performance metrics.

  • Recruit hire and train new team members for various roles as necessary.
  • Continue to foster a strong company culture driving performance and accountability within a small but dynamic team.
  • Bridge the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Strategy & Growth :
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and profitability.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and scalability as the company grows.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for marketing and logistics on an as-needed basis to iteratively improve the companys operational and financial performance.
  • PNL Management :
  • Manage the companys Profit and Loss (PNL) ensuring financial goals are met and profit margins are optimized.

  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies while driving business growth.
  • Ideal Candidate :

  • Operational Focus :
  • Strong operational mindset with a proven track record in managing teams and overseeing multiple business functions.
  • Prior experience managing marketing teams or agencies and having a hands-on role in logistics operations.
  • Leadership & Strategy :
  • Ability to develop a strategic vision and execute on it while being deeply involved in the day-to-day operations and project execution.

  • Strong leadership skills to guide and grow a small agile team.
  • Ability to build systems processes and SOPs to scale a business.
  • Growth-Oriented :
  • Passion for growth and scaling businesses with experience in small entrepreneurial or startup environments a plus.

  • Prior experience working with remote teams or offshore teams is preferred.
  • Comfort with wearing multiple hats in a small organization and the desire to grow the team as the company scales.
  • PNL & Financial Acumen :
  • Must have potential to develop a strong understanding of financial management and accountability.

    Requirements :

  • Exceptional ability to identify analyze and solve problems.
  • Insatiable curiosity and a strong desire for mastery of ones role.
  • Previous experience with hiring training and evaluating the performance of small teams.
  • Superb written communication skills.
  • Proactive priority-oriented sole contributor style and high degree of productive output.
  • Extensive experience with typing and general computer operations typing test required.
  • Ability to build and implement SOPs systems and processes for scale.
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 12 hours per day during the workweek at a minimum during the ramp-up phase (first 3-6 months or until fully trained) and 10 hours per day during the workweek thereafter.
  • Recommended Qualifications :

  • Digital marketing experience or background.
  • PNL management experience and a proven ability to manage revenue profit margins and costs.
  • Training & Transition :

    The current CEO will provide comprehensive training over a period of 3-5 months offering deep insight into the business systems and processes to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success in the role.

    The Role

    BD / Lead Generation Consultant

    Key Responsibilities
