This is a support position with the successful incumbent taking the lead in ensuring that practical time-tables do not clash for different programmes, ensuring that every week’s practicals are set up correctly, conducting standardisation of solutions, calibration of instruments, weighing of samples, putting out equipment on a daily basis, taking stock of equipment and consumables, managing the finances, placing orders, obtaining quotations on equipment and consumables, liaise and manage student demonstrators, and working with support staff. The incumbent will manage first-year, third-year and honours practicals.

We are seeking a dynamic CFO/SVP Finance/Controller to lead the financial strategy of our business. This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with our investment/advisory partners-seasoned professionals with a proven track record of scaling businesses from regional success stories to nationwide leaders, healthcare and otherwise.
As our financial leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's trajectory by aligning finance with business strategy. You'll go beyond traditional accounting functions to drive data-backed decision-making that accelerates growth, optimizes operational efficiencies, and enhances long-term financial sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and execute financial strategies that drive profitability and scalability while mitigating risk.
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to improve cash flow cycles and maximize capital efficiency.
- Evaluate and structure financial models to support nationwide expansion, ensuring sustainable and profitable scaling.
- Assess the economics of potential partnerships, contracts, and acquisitions to drive value creation.
- Implement and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls that support a high-growth, multi-location healthcare business.
- Initiate processes to lead annual audit and budgeting cycles
- Oversee bookkeeping, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making and cash flow optimization.
- Create strategic finance visualizations-including reports and dashboards-to communicate key insights to leadership.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve financial trajectories for long-term growth.
- Lead or support financial system implementations (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
- Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills (accent is fine)
- Education: CPA/CA certification
- Experience: 10+ years of related experience
- Industry: US Market experience required. Healthcare experience is a positive but not a requirement.
- A strategic financial leader with a track record of driving growth and operational efficiency in fast-scaling organizations.
- Experienced in business services, multi-location businesses, or private equity-backed companies; healthcare experience is a positive but not a requirement.
- A hands-on problem solver who thrives in entrepreneurial environments.
- Adept at translating financial data into actionable business insights that drive decision-making.
- Experience with financial system implementations; familiarity with QuickBooks is a must
- Proven ability to adapt in fast-paced, scaling businesses with evolving priorities and structures
- Strong preference for seasoned candidates who have entrepreneurial experience and can bring a hands-on, strategic mindset
- CPA qualification is required
