Key Responsibilities
The main role of the Warehouse Clerk is to assist with the daily running of the warehouse, goods quality controls, administration and logistics in line with Singita Standards of Excellence and SOPs.
- Report to Warehouse Controller
- Communication with different teams - ensure that needs are met; operations run effectively.
- Manage the workflow and processing of goods through the DC warehouse
- Provide professional assistance in receiving & deliveries. Manage receiving of deliveries in the "Receiving" bay and capture in the system.
- Q.C (Quality control) and goods verification/ reconciliation against order/invoice.
- Manage professional packaging of orders together with the other warehouse assistants when required.
- Create box labels onto our accounting system including weights and dimensions and Country of Origin (COO)
- Together with the Warehouse Controller allocate labelled boxes from the "Awaiting Shelving" bay to actual property specific bays.
- Assist the Warehouse Controller with doing physical counts of lodge returns and local delivery pallets and crates.
- Pack, sort, and label boxes clearly for easy dispatching.
- Practice FIFO and stock rotation.
- Ensuring the tidiness, cleanliness and care of equipment, goods, and areas.
- Active participation in and effective communication and support of Singita's conservation message and purpose; as well as constantly looking for ways to further 'green' lodge operations.
- All roles at Singita may be required to perform other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time and as required by the business and/or operation. Singita fosters a culture of collaboration, and with this support of the multi-skilling of staff.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' work experience in a warehouse administration/clerk role.
- Valid driver's license, Fork truck license (advantageous).
- Computer literate, MS Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and accounting software (Pastel/Palladium).
- Matric certificate /NQF

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The main purpose of this position is to maintain the organization and efficiency of a warehouse. This role involves receiving, storing and shipping products, as well as keeping accurate records of inventory.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
The key responsibilities of the posittion are as follows, but not limited to:
- Receiving and Inspecting Stock: Check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Organizing and Storing Products: Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, update records and conduct periodic physical inventories.
- Maintain Cleanliness: To ensure that the warehouse environment is kept clean and tidy by keeping shelves, pallets area and workstations neat.
- Preparing of daily orders: To print Job Cards and issue cards to Production on time ensuring that the SLA is not missed.
- Communication: To communicate to concerned recipients about all received materials, book shipments, update schedule and allocate invoices of shipments and parcels.
- To also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security at all times.

Stock Age Management
- Population and Reporting Obsolescence Tracker for Finished Goods and Raw Materials as per BCA/LSA and MICS Requirements

- All Obsolescence Stock is Decanted /Discarded as per Global Policy & procedure
Inventory Management of Finished Goods, Empties and Raw Materials
- Pre Count Reports to be Reviewed and Cleared.
- Reconcile that all GRNs have taken place (e.g.Raw Materials, New Glass and Crates and Market Place)
- STO In-transit Reports are clear of ageing Shipments
- Virtual Warehouse cleared and only reflects Current Production on both Finished Goods and Empties
- All Transfers Between Raw Materials Warehouses and Packaging/Brewing Process Areas are reconciled (Transfer Documentation vs ERP)
- Verification that 3 Point Checks were conducted on all Inbound and Outbound Shipments/Load
