• Performs Russian language translation and interpretation activities.
• Reviews, translates, and analyzes Russian language source material of both a technical and nontechnical nature.
• Translates advanced level recorded materials including audio and videotaped programs and technical discussions.
• Writes reports, including opinion as to the credibility of the source, for use by project disciplines.
• Conducts bi-directional consecutive interpretation of target language to English and English to Russian language using phraseology selected to preserve the original intent, meaning, and emphasis.
• Develops and implements translation methodology and quality control procedures and standards.
• Responsible for development and review of finished work.
• Plans work and tracks status of projects.
• Translate and interpret services to facilitate the conversion of Technical, Open Source and materials from Russian to English. Due to the high level of technical subject matters and requirement for precision within the translation of material and interpretation of recorded or live voice interactions

Qualification and Skills required

• Minimum high school completion or equivalent
• High level of proficiency in Russian and English Language (read, write and speak)

In this role you will:

• Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
• Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.).
• Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
• Correct formatting/tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, style, fluency as per guidelines.

Requirements:

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
• Native speaker in English language.
• Excellent command of the Italian language in both comprehension and writing (knowledge of other languages, particularly German, is considered a plus).
• Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in the Technical field.
• IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools.
• Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools.
• Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language.
• Adaptive to fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
