About the role:

Working in partnership with our, the Project Manager leads creative and digital projects from concept to completion, providing the direction and control required to do this. The Project Manager is responsible for the investigation, and translation of client briefs into a feasible, creative solution using their experience and knowledge of delivering cross platform projects and using smart operational processes and workflow management. What you will be doing:
  • Work in true collaboration with the client and be responsible for a seamless successful project outcome
  • Develop existing client relationships as part of the business pipeline
  • Managing and documenting the triage process for new projects.
  • Managing projects from beginning to end with clear communication on a regular basis on milestones, targets, goals and deadlines.
  • Organisation of project meetings, communicating and driving actions.
  • Attending and contributing to daily / weekly WIP meetings with the on-site team.

What you need to be great in this role:
  • 3-4 years’ experience of managing campaigns in a creative, production or social agency.
  • Strong proven project management skills and experience.
  • Experience creating and updating project plans and regular project status reports.
  • Experience + knowledge of delivering cross-platform projects e.g. digital display, website and video – In order to advise in triage of new briefs
  • The ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise workloads to maximise productivity
  • Considered, assertive and influential; ability to lead, with the skills and aptitude to develop and motivate a team
  • Able to think on your feet and make decisions; someone who finds solutions rather than simply reports problems.
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to effectively work under pressure
  • Experience with stakeholder management and stakeholder communication on projects.
  • Experience in prioritizing and effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly adaptable to new procedures & systems, and ensuring that these systems are adhered to
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion to make sure quality control procedures are adhered to
  • Have a positive, can-do outlook, willing to leverage past experience to provide the best solution for each project you own.
  • Be unafraid to ask questions and have an innate ability to identify and manage project risk.
  • Experience in multiple industry sectors, FMCG and Health is a nice to have.

    • Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met. Co-ordinate sprint planning, retrospectives and early views.
    • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting : Provide regular visibility on project progress, risks, delays, and achievements through proper processes and governance frameworks. Effective stakeholder communication expectation management.
    • Customer Relationship Management : Maintain strong working relationships with customers and manage customer expectations. Run regular progress meetings to ensure customers are kept up to date and informed of any progress or risks associated with their required delivery. Act as a point of escalation and arbitration for customer related project issues.
    • Risk Management & Mitigation : Identify and mitigate risks for projects you manage to ensure project success. Ensure risks are documented within the PMO project management framework.

    Skills, Knowledge and Experience :

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    GVR is in the market leader in downstream petroleum segment. We play major role in value chain of FuelManagement Solutions, like fuel dispensers, mobile Bowsers, Fuel station automation, Automatic Level and flowmeters and many more. Spread across all the MEA with Project and service network.We are carrying of multi geography rollout of these projects, and we are looking for highly experienced projectmanagers who has worked in similar environment and especially the mining sector.This position is responsible for end-to-end and on-time delivery of large-scale fuel management system projects;Solutions spanning design, requirements, contract development, estimating, engineering development,verification, system integration, and into installation and deployment. Provide managerial leadership to aProject team.The incumbent will serve as Project Manager for major projects with responsibility for the overall justification,design, management, control, execution, and closeout of assigned projects.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Project planning and co-ordination with customer & internal teams on overall and weekly basis.
    • Assemble and manage a project team of internal and external professionals.
    • Monitor and review the workload of PDS Managers.
    • Operating Visual Project Management techniques in daily practice.
    • Daily management and monitoring, reporting of important milestones to keep close control.
    • Risk management by Issue Tracking, mitigation actions.
    • Create and evaluate project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status reporting to internal andexternal parties.
    • Coordinate with Global Product Management & Global Engineering for signoff on project scope.
    • Develop a Master Project Plan with detailed Weekly action plan, detailing the resource and time committedfor the assigned project.
    • Complete all technical integration evaluation of various elements forming an end-to-end solution.
    • Define clear product and solutions specifications and drive gap analysis / estimating of work content.
    • Develop Functional Specifications and Change Notices.
    • Act as the Program Technical Customer Interface.
    • Oversee the entire project life-cycle and manage cross-functional team from project initiation to productionrelease and roll out.
    • Day to Day management of program team personnel and communication with key stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage program schedule ensuring on time delivery of agreed to milestones and deliverables.
    • Plan, organize, lead and control the progress of the assigned projects as per the customer requirements.
    • Manage project budget and Produce detailed cost breakdowns for all work & task.
    • Responsible on Project P&L.
    • Responsible for Projects signoffs and Pos.
    • Responsible of change requests.
    • Working as part of a team, manage resource requirements and utilization, keep up to date trackers ofproject roll-out activity from initial plan through to invoice.
    • Develop the Cost targets as per the Business Plan and in line with the Business requirements.
    • Investigate and negotiate change proposals with relevant stakeholders.
    • Periodic Monitoring of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met as per theagreed time frame.
    • Direct and coordinate the development of strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of implementedproject outcomes and provide advice on remedial action.
    • Manage the expenditure of project budgets and prepare associated financial summary reports formembers of the steering committee and functional leaders.
    • Conduct Alpha and Beta Trials in Field for Product validation process.
    • Responsible for ensuring the Activities right from Project Initiation to Project Launch.
    • Prepare project status reports and other reports required as per project management methodologies of VBS

    As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

    • Consulting with stakeholders to develop detailed business cases, determining capital expenditure, ROI, resource needs, and risk assessments for the annual capital budget.
    • Preparing and managing the annual capex and renewals budget, aligned with the mill and Sappi SA five-year capital/growth plan.
    • Reviewing, developing, and coordinating project justifications, cost estimates, and execution plans.
    • Coordinating pre-feasibility studies, utilizing internal and external inputs, and documenting results.
    • Determining resource requirements, including capex, operational costs, skills, and change management resources.
    • Ensuring engineering designs meet standards and codes.
    • Completing bid reviews and analyzing equipment proposals.
    • Coordinating project execution to meet approved plans.
    • Preparing and presenting project reports for PPC meetings.
    • Developing project work breakdown structures in SAP and managing costs.
    • Developing cash flow forecasts and ensuring compliance with inputs from project leaders.
    • Driving scheduling, procurement, installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
    • Ensuring compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and mill procedures.
    • Managing the projects department, including the drawing office, project team, and resources, overseeing project delivery and output.

    What are we looking for?

    • BSc or National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Processing preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
    • 5-8 years of project implementation experience in manufacturing.
    • Pulp and Paper experience is advantageous.
    • People management experience is advantageous.
