The Opportunity

With the founder and current Managing Director planning to retire within the next 12–14 months, we are seeking a Managing Director (Designate) to join the business under a structured succession plan. The incoming MD will be responsible for leading the company into its next phase of growth, with a sharp focus on sales and marketing , client relationship management , and strategic development . Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the company’s sales and marketing strategy, with a strong emphasis on B2B growth.
  • Build, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with clients in the hospitality sector.
  • Support the company’s transition from a founder-led business to a more corporate, structured leadership model.
  • Work closely with the outgoing MD and executive team during the 12-month handover period.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated success in sales, marketing strategy, and account growth in a B2B environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships at a senior level.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or hospitality support services is strongly advantageous .
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership maturity.
  • Hands-on, practical, and operationally involved leadership style — with a shift toward corporate governance.
  • A formal degree in Business , Logistics , or Hospitality is advantageous.
  • Ideally in their late 30s to early 40s , though this is a guideline rather than a strict requirement.
  • Must be based in the Western Cape or willing to relocate, with daily on-site presence required.
  • There are no sex, ethnicity or age restrictions on the candidate. However, they must be either a South African citizen or in possession of a long term work permit.

Compensation

  • Compensation will be in line with industry standards and aligned with the candidate’s experience and capabilities .
  • For the right individual, a profit share model linked to the achievement of key performance areas (KPAs) will be considered.

Product Knowledge - Develop a comprehensive understanding of our hospitality services and offerings. Effectively communicate the value propositions and benefits of our services to clients. Sales Generation - Proactively reach out to existing clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Generate leads and follow up on inquiries to convert prospects into clients. Use a CRM or lead management system to record and assign leads. Quoting and Proposal Creatio n - Prepare accurate and detailed quotes for clients based on their specific needs. Create compelling proposals that highlight the value of our services and address client requirements. Order Processing - Facilitate the order process, ensuring seamless transactions and timely delivery of services. Collaborate with other internal departments to coordinate and fulfill client requests. Sales Reporting and Analysis - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and order statuses. Provide regular reports to the sales manager on sales performance and achievements. Customer Feedback and Improvemen t - Gather feedback from clients to understand their satisfaction and areas for improvement. Communicate client feedback to relevant teams to contribute to continuous improvement. Collaboration with Sales Team - Work closely with the external sales team to provide support in achieving overall sales targets. Coordinate efforts to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach. Promote the Vacation Club and Ownership - Train sales agents/bookers on effectively promoting the benefits and features. Highlight the advantages of ownership, such as access to exclusive resorts, discounted rates, and flexible vacation options. Provide sales agents/bookers with marketing materials, including brochures, videos, and presentations, to showcase their. Requirements Theoretical Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality, finance or insurance industryStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities.Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.Customer-focused attitude and a passion for delivering excellent service.Motivated and ambitious - Go getter! What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in teaching Tourism andAccounting.
  • Current SACE registration.
  • CAPS experience.
  • A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

  • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
  • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
  • Create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Take responsibility for any and all school equipment and stock of the class.
  • Work closely with the teachers in the grades/phase to ensure the effective running of the grades/phase.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school.
  • Manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the grades/phase.
  • Assist with sport and other admin duties as and when the need arises.
  • Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

The successful candidate will start on 06 August 2025.
