What will you do?This is a specialist role, which is responsible for research, design and development of training content and related workshop material in support of client and/or business requirements and with specific focus on alignment with relevant financial services legislation.
What will make you successful in this role?This role is responsible for:
- Providing support to the business by integrating technology into the curriculum and working with the business to successfully implement learning technologies
- Assessing instructional needs within the business and identifying applicable solutions to enhance learning
- Development of instructional content used to support online, blended, and face-to-face learning interventions.
- Assisting with the development of web based and multimedia instructional materials to support learning and development.
- Designing, developing, and delivering professional and technical training for the business on current technologies and new initiatives in the area of instructional technology through web-based tutorials, instructor-led and face-to-face workshops, remote web-conference sessions, and online self-paced training programs.
The role will further support with:
- Scoping and managing research and design projects as and when required
- Designing training workshops in relation to content, structure, and process
- Rolling out of new training including pilots and train-the trainer sessions
- Maintaining, updating, and reviewing of existing training content
- Relevant B Degree
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Instructional Technology / Design Qualification) will be advantageous
- E-Learning / Graphic Design experience is recommended
- CFP qualification will be advantageous
- Assessor / Moderator certification is recommended
- Computers and peripheral devices
- Win and Mobile OS, MS Office, Exchange
- Moodle: LMS
- Video and web conferencing, multimedia, learning management and lecture capture systems; courseware development in HTML, Flash, web authoring, desktop publishing and other applications (Adobe CS, Captivate, Articulate, etc.).

Key criteria for consideration:
- Min 2 years’ experience in a LMS Technical Support role involving instructional design using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and other Storyboarding tools
- Min Tertiary Diploma in Education, L&D, HR, Instructional Design or IT
- Candidates with certification or completed coursework in LMS, instructional design or e-learning will be given preference
- Project Management experience NB! Using Agile methodology
- Understanding of the Learning Process ADDIE Model
- Experience using Adobe tools as well as video editing to design training materials and e-learning content
- Must know e-learning software and content authoring tools
Responsibilities
- Learning Management System (LMS) Technical back-end support to students and faculty.
- Technical and Administration support with migration, roll-out and implementation of new LMS.
- Liaising with LMS vendor (Moodle) on technical issues.
- Administrative support in the transition of content onto the new LMS System
- Supporting project planning for the transition and update of Academy content across 4 programmes - with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and faculty.
- Engaging with LMS and instructional design vendors on content development and updates.
