Sanlam Alternative Investments (SAI)

The SAI business has a broad range of capabilities that include Private Equity, Specialised Finance, Property, Infrastructure and Partnerships. What will you do?
The Junior Equity Analyst will support the Global Emerging Markets investment team by conducting fundamental research and analysis on listed companies and equity markets. The role involves collecting and analyzing financial data, building financial models, preparing investment reports, and contributing to the formulation of investment recommendations. they’ll work closely with senior analysts and PMs and get hands-on experience across different markets, sectors and companies.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assist with producing company and industry research across emerging markets.
- Build and maintain financial models.
- Create valuations and keep track of earnings/news for portfolio names.
- Contribute to investment ideas and research for the team.
- Prepare presentation material and research notes for internal and external client meetings.
- Responsible for some portfolio monitoring and data work.
BCom, CFA, CA with 0 to 2 years related experience.

Job Description
Stock Controller required to manage inventory and purchase merchandise based on the company’s needs.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
- Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
- Track shipments and address any delays
- Oversee storage of products
- Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
- Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
- Follow up on orders placed into the factory
- Thorough attention to detail
- Organisation and Time Management Skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Ability to work well with suppliers, customers and other team members
Min Requirements:
- Matric, Grade 12 certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Valid Drivers licence
- Computer Literate
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- Exposure to manufacturing processes
- Exposure to production processes
