Job Description

The Senior Creative is responsible for developing, producing, and implementing high-quality static and video content for Viu across multiple platforms. This role requires a strong blend of creative vision and project management skills, ensuring brand consistency and impactful storytelling across all communication channels, including social media, digital banners, telco, and D2C.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conceptualize, produce, and execute creative campaigns for SVOD, AVOD, telco, and D2C communications.
  • Manage and direct the production of static and video assets for use across social media, digital platforms, and in-app placements.
  • Collaborate closely with the social media manager, video editor, and external creative partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Oversee brand consistency across all creative outputs, ensuring alignment with Viu’s strategic priorities.
  • Provide creative direction for paid and organic campaigns, including visual design, motion graphics, and video storytelling.
  • Support the marketing and sales teams with creative assets for pitches, banners, and promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends, audience behaviour, and digital content best practices.

Requirements :

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in creative roles, ideally within digital content, entertainment, or agency environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing work across video, static, and digital design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) or similar tools.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About The Role

Curve Gear is looking for a Senior Creative Designer to lead our design direction and execution as we scale our fast-growing South African menswear brand. You’ll be our in-house creative lead – responsible for taking ideas from strategy to execution across web, retail, social, paid media, and in-store brand touchpoints.

You’ll be hands-on in crafting the brand’s look and feel — and smart in how you lead creative strategy, brief content teams, and manage freelance contributors. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment where great ideas get executed quickly and you get to touch everything from big campaigns to gritty tactical assets.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all visual design work across Curve Gear – from campaign assets and lookbooks to eCommerce banners, motion graphics, in-store visuals, and more.
  • Work closely with our Social Media Manager and Marketing Coordinator to ideate, design, and roll out content that drives engagement and performance.
  • Be the creative brain for the brand — shaping strategy, campaign directions, and visual storytelling for product launches, retail rollouts, seasonal moments, and international growth.
  • Brief, direct, and manage external photographers/videographers to capture needed content (quarterly campaign shoots, retail visuals, social media content).
  • Create clean, beautiful and on-brand designs using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma.
  • Design front-end layouts and visuals for new website pages (working with developers to bring them to life).
  • Produce quick-turnaround creative content in Canva and support ongoing documentation needs.
  • Manage a growing roster of freelance creative collaborators.
  • Maintain and evolve the Curve Gear visual identity and keep design output consistent across all channels.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design or content creation, ideally in fashion, retail, or a fast-paced content agency.
  • A portfolio that shows you know how to build a brand through design and execute across diverse touchpoints.
  • Fluency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and Figma.
  • A good eye for motion graphics, and the ability to bring designs to life with basic animation.
  • Experience creating social media content, digital ads, and retail marketing collateral.
  • Strong understanding of website and eCommerce UX/UI principles.
  • A bonus: You understand what kinds of content drive engagement, clicks, or conversions.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to confidently present ideas and take feedback.
  • Comfort working in Slack, Notion, and Google Suite.
  • A flexible, startup-minded attitude – you like fast-paced environments and rolling up your sleeves.

Job Description

Anticipated contract length/Duration: 11 months (July 1st, 2025 - June 2026)

Our client in the global professional services industry is on a mission to capture and organise the world’s lived wisdom - and you’ll be at the heart of making that happen. They’re looking for a highly skilled Creative - Content Designer who is equal parts storyteller, sense-maker, and anthropologist. If you thrive on meaningful conversations, uncovering insights, and translating complex experiences into usable knowledge, this role is for you.

What you will do:

  • Conduct in-depth 1:1 interviews with experts, guiding thoughtful conversations to surface stories, lived experiences, mental models, and actionable insights.
  • Ask probing follow-up questions to go beyond surface-level responses and reveal what truly matters.
  • Synthesise conversations into clear, structured formats - such as frameworks, principles, annotated transcripts, or first-person narratives.
  • Write and edit compelling summaries, vignettes, and knowledge pieces that authentically capture the voice of each expert.
  • Collaborate with tagging and vectorisation teams to structure content optimally for AI learning and knowledge management.
  • Refine question sets and interview flows to suit various life domains and personas.
  • Occasionally guide experts through “diary-style” self-submissions (written or voice) and help transform them into usable knowledge assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, university degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: journalism, non-fiction writing, UX research, qualitative research, ethnography, ghost-writing, or strategic storytelling.
  • Proven experience interviewing subject matter experts, executives, or individuals with rich and diverse lived experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesise unstructured input into structured knowledge, stories, or systems.

Skills and attributes:

  • •Deep curiosity and an empathetic communication style.
  • A natural storyteller with a strong writing portfolio (published or ghostwritten work is a plus).
  • Exceptional synthesis skills - able to distill complex or ambiguous conversations into clear, meaningful insights.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with minimal oversight.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with knowledge management practices, tagging systems, or AI-driven content workflows.
