Role Overview
As an SEO Strategist , you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategic SEO initiatives for a variety of client industries, including Healthcare, SaaS, fintech, and DTC. You’ll work closely with content editors, engineers, and account managers to create data-driven strategies that increase visibility, drive traffic, and support broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute holistic SEO strategies for clients, including keyword research, content planning, and performance analysis
- Translate client goals and briefs into actionable SEO roadmaps
- Collaborate with content editors to ensure all deliverables align with SEO best practices and brand voice
- Analyze site performance and search trends using tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
- Monitor algorithm changes and platform trends (Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to inform evolving strategies
- Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to internal teams and clients
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize on-site structure, page speed, and content workflows
- Support the development and refinement of internal SEO processes and playbooks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of SEO experience in a digital agency or consulting environment
- Deep knowledge of technical and content SEO principles
- Proven experience increasing organic performance for multiple clients across industries
- Strong familiarity with content optimization for modern platforms (SERP, AI-assisted search tools)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Bonus: Experience with CMS tools like Webflow, WordPress, and collaborative tools like Notion & Google Docs

Purpose of this role
The delivery consultants work closely with a Partner or Principal to support the successful completion of search assignments. You are an integral part of our client’s success in delivering exceptional candidate and client experiences. As part of the engine room for the business you will be providing insightful information, through a variety of tasks, including industry research, headhunting, candidate qualification, process management and client co-ordination.
What you will be doing
- Collate information from Client/Consultant, industry research and sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Client Company, industry and the position requirements.
- Contribute actively to the start-up phase of assigned searches by joining in client kick-off meetings and assisting in the development of the search strategy.
- Pro-actively source, approach and headhunt prospective candidates through targeted company research, industry sources, relevant prior searches and internal sources.
- Support the Partner/Principal in assessment and qualification of candidates, coupled with providing input regarding shortlists.
- Co-ordinate and assist in client update meetings, confidently presenting candidates and industry insights.
- In partnership with the Partner/Principle conduct in-depth interviews to further assess qualifications and fit to position specifications.
- Manage and support candidates through the interview process, providing them with an exceptional service and after care.
- Takes ownership of maintaining the accuracy, quality and integrity of all search information from the client and candidate(s) perspective in the database.
- Consistently network within your selective industry specialisations, building long term relationships and candidate pipelines.
- Provide an excellent research service to the Partner/Principal: identifying prospective candidates, conducting background research, name generation, sourcing and pre-screening candidates.
Who you are
- You will have a background in recruitment, with the ideal experience coming from a practical knowledge of contingency recruitment or executive search.
- You are a confident professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are able to confidently call potential senior candidates, research and present information accurately and persuasively.
- You should enjoy sales, research and analysis and be able to engage people at a senior level while demonstrating excellent profiling and report writing skills.

Qualification Path:
No previous professional experience is required to apply to this role, however, working on this project will require you to pass the basic requirements and go through a standard assessment process. Basic Requirements
- Full Professional Proficiency in English
- Being a resident in South Africa for the last one year and familiarity with current and historical business, media, sport, news, social media, and cultural affairs in South Africa
- Having an email address associated with an Apple ID and experience and know-how of Apple products
- Up-to-date familiarity with prevailing trends in applications, music & video with a keen interest in internet research
- Flexibility to work across a diverse set of task types, including news, audio tasks, and relevance
- Daily access to a secure broadband internet connection, computer, and relevant software
- Independent working and the ability to adapt to innovative methodologies and processes with great attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- While a High School degree or higher certification is preferred, we are open to candidates with exceptional skills and talent.
