The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the implementation of SEO strategies across client websites. Their primary goal is to improve search engine rankings through a combination of onsite, offsite, and technical SEO practices. They analyze performance data to measure success and identify opportunities for optimization.

This role also involves working with data, technology, and AI to execute SEO strategies effectively. The ideal candidate can independently implement SEO tactics, interpret analytics, and contribute meaningfully to the success of SEO campaigns.

You will play a key supporting role in executing strategies developed by senior team members. Responsibilities include conducting keyword research, assisting with on-page and technical SEO audits, monitoring website performance metrics, and preparing detailed reports. Keyword Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Support the planning and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, enhance website visibility, and achieve business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-intent, relevant search terms aligned with business objectives.
  • Perform competitor analysis to uncover insights into rival SEO strategies and identify opportunities to outperform them.
  • Stay informed on the latest search engine algorithm updates (e.g., Google) and evolving SEO best practices.
  • Assist in tracking key SEO performance metrics such as organic traffic and keyword rankings, and contribute to the creation of insightful performance reports.

On-Page Optimization & Technical SEO

  • Optimize website content—including title tags, meta descriptions, and headings—for target keywords while ensuring readability and user experience.
  • Collaborate with content creators to ensure new content aligns with SEO best practices and targets relevant keywords.
  • Identify and recommend technical SEO enhancements, focusing on areas such as site speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data.
  • Support the execution of technical SEO audits to uncover and address site performance issues.

Collaboration & Continuous Learning

  • Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of SEO strategies.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team through workshops, presentations, or internal platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in digital marketing, technology, and AI, and identify opportunities to integrate these into SEO strategies.
  • Continuously explore new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance SEO effectiveness.

Qualifications Requirements

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent to NQF Level 7 in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience such as internships or entry-level experience in SEO
  • Other digital Marketing or analytical qualifications will be advantageous

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in SEO

Foundation in SEO: understanding of core SEO principles, including on-page optimization, link building, technical SEO, and content strategy.

  • Familiarity with common SEO tools: for keyword research, website audits, and rank tracking (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors: with some exposure to industry best practices and foundational HTML.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced digital Paid Media Specialist to drive innovative and highly effective digital marketing executions for our clients.

Devise and implement PPC strategies across a number of assigned client accounts and manage the campaigns in accordance with these strategies.

Manage the day to day activities of these accounts including technical changes , analyzing and drawing insight from third party analytics data and implementing innovative management techniques to maximize campaign performance (specifically responsible for assisting and achieving significant results and delivering best practice management techniques across assigned client campaigns)

Develop strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of your clients.

Confidence to manage agency relationships with client service and drive increased performance.


Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with paid search advertising trends, techniques and industry related software

• Implement and manage paid search on Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

• Conduct detailed competitor research

• Conduct extensive keyword research, analyse and test keyword performance across multiple channels with multiple campaigns

• Set-up and run paid search campaigns including writing adverts, bid management, advert placement and ongoing optimisation across various channels

• Utilise bid management tools and data modelling to maximise the effectiveness of PPC campaigns

• Monitoring keyword bids and daily/monthly budget caps

• Reporting on quality scores, impressions, click through rates and other account metrics

• Keyword research

• Collaborate with agency team to ensure all activity is complementary, e.g. landing page split testing, tweaking and optimisation to deliver best possible click through and conversion rates

• Conduct A/B testing to improve; landing pages, ad copy, keywords, bids

• Optimise campaigns to improve client ROI .

• Be able to create audiences and target them appropriately in relevant campaigns.

• Have the ability to identify macro and micro conversions and create conversion tracking for those areas.

• Have the ability to create campaigns on Search, GDN and YouTube.

• Monitor campaign results, analyse key metrics, optimise click-through and conversion rates and create and review daily, weekly, monthly reports for clients

• Build relationships with external representatives from Google, Facebook, etc.

• Provide recommendations on strategy execution, keyword opportunities, campaign structuring and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals

• P articipate in client monthly status meetings


Qualifications

• 3 - 4 years’ experience in a Search environment / Search Campaign Manager

• Experience in managing big budget campaigns 1M+ a month

• Strong grasp of numbers – analytically minded

Overview

We are seeking an experienced digital Paid Media Specialist to drive innovative and highly effective digital marketing executions for our clients.

Devise and implement PPC strategies across a number of assigned client accounts and manage the campaigns in accordance with these strategies.

Manage the day to day activities of these accounts including technical changes , analyzing and drawing insight from third party analytics data and implementing innovative management techniques to maximize campaign performance (specifically responsible for assisting and achieving significant results and delivering best practice management techniques across assigned client campaigns)

Develop strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of your clients.

Confidence to manage agency relationships with client service and drive increased performance.


Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with paid search advertising trends, techniques and industry related software

• Implement and manage paid search on Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

• Conduct detailed competitor research

• Conduct extensive keyword research, analyse and test keyword performance across multiple channels with multiple campaigns

• Set-up and run paid search campaigns including writing adverts, bid management, advert placement and ongoing optimisation across various channels

• Utilise bid management tools and data modelling to maximise the effectiveness of PPC campaigns

• Monitoring keyword bids and daily/monthly budget caps

• Reporting on quality scores, impressions, click through rates and other account metrics

• Keyword research

• Collaborate with agency team to ensure all activity is complementary, e.g. landing page split testing, tweaking and optimisation to deliver best possible click through and conversion rates

• Conduct A/B testing to improve; landing pages, ad copy, keywords, bids

• Optimise campaigns to improve client ROI .

• Be able to create audiences and target them appropriately in relevant campaigns.

• Have the ability to identify macro and micro conversions and create conversion tracking for those areas.

• Have the ability to create campaigns on Search, GDN and YouTube.

• Monitor campaign results, analyse key metrics, optimise click-through and conversion rates and create and review daily, weekly, monthly reports for clients

• Build relationships with external representatives from Google, Facebook, etc.

• Provide recommendations on strategy execution, keyword opportunities, campaign structuring and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals

• P articipate in client monthly status meetings


Qualifications

• 3 - 4 years’ experience in a Search environment / Search Campaign Manager

• Experience in managing big budget campaigns 1M+ a month

• Strong grasp of numbers – analytically minded

• Performance driven / focused

• Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose

appropriate alternatives

• Ability to write comprehensive insights

• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• A keen eye for detail

• Strong written and verbal communication

• The ability to work well in a team as well as independently and responsibly

• A passion for the online industry

• A true paid search enthusiast!

• Comfortable with data analysis and particularly strong on Excel

Job Description

Purpose: The Biddable Search Specialist is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of performance campaigns across the client portfolio, this includes strategy and implementation across Google Ads, SEO, Facebook, Google, etc.

Execution & Optimization
•Implement and optimise end-to-end Google campaigns across all major platforms (Google Ads, Display, DV360 etc.) as well as keep up to date with any changes made to these platforms.
•Have an in depth understanding of the various ad formats and targeting options offered by all major platforms and use them to achieve client objectives.
•Interpret the data provided by all the digital marketing platforms to optimize and provide actionable insights and recommendations for better campaign performance.
•Produce useful and accurate reporting on all digital marketing activity.
•Manage and control client spends diligently and in line with company process across all Google channels.
•Ensure that all digital marketing campaigns deliver on internal performance requirements which will be directly linked to client key performance indicators (KPI’s).
•Leverage our relationships with Google to assist in the set up and/or optimization of client campaigns/accounts.
•Conduct audience, keyword, placement, and platform research to help inform clients paid media strategies.


Learning
•Keep up to date with the latest trends in digital marketing and how they relate to paid search advertising and media.
•Be well versed in brand safety and viewability as well as be able to implement the required controls put in place to help us protect the client’s brands.


Clients and Internal Teams
•Effectively manage stakeholder relationships by ensuring expectations are appropriately defined and well managed.
•Maintain a sustainable positive relationship with clients as well as internal teams.
•Attend client meetings/events as and when required as well as effectively communicate with clients over email telephonically when needed.
• Work with your account team to ensure compliance with any customer defined service level agreements and performance standards.

The Ideal Candidate
•At least 3-5 years of biddable search experience preferred.
•Understanding of agency reporting and optimization processes.
•Knowledge of the local digital publisher landscape.
•Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
•Ability to analyse data and provide insightful recommendations.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•Detail-orientated with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
•High attention to detail.
•Google Ads certified (including fundamentals, search, display, video, shopping, mobile).
•Google Analytics certified.
•Excellent copywriting and grammar skills.
•Knowledge of HTML and User Experience (UX) is desirable.
•Knowledge of SEO is desirable,
•Experienced in Google Ads Editor is desirable.
•Experience on GMP Suite and / or certifications is desirable.
