We are seeking a highly skilled and SACAP-registered Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing building projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop innovative and functional architectural designs that align with client needs and site conditions.
- Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and renderings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other industry-standard software.
- Ensure all designs adhere to SACAP, SANS, and local building regulations.
Project Management & Documentation:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of council plans, zoning approvals, and building permits.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure project feasibility.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and compliance with design specifications.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Present conceptual and detailed designs to clients, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Address client concerns and modify designs as necessary.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Review construction work to confirm alignment with architectural plans and specifications.
- Implement best practices for sustainable and energy-efficient building designs.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.
- Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect .
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and other design software .
- Strong understanding of South African building regulations and council submission processes.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Creativity and innovation in architectural design.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of green building practices and energy-efficient design.
