Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Tested – Red Seal) – essential
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in servicing and repairing earthmoving and heavy-duty diesel equipment.
• Hands-on experience working with brands such as LOVOL, CAT, Bell, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or similar
• Strong technical knowledge in hydraulics, transmissions, engines, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, fault-finding systems and technical manuals
• Must have a valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher) – PDP advantageous
• Must be based in Cape Town (Kraaifontein area)
• Physically fit, hardworking and committed to maintaining high quality standards
• Additional qualifications (e.g. Auto-Electrical, Hydraulic Systems ) will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of earthmoving equipment
• Overhaul, strip and rebuild engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
• Respond to field service call-outs and attend to breakdowns when required
• Ensure that all work is done to OEM specifications and safety standards
• Complete accurate job cards, inspection sheets, and service reports
• Maintain tools, equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Running diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems on heavy construction equipment.
• Completes all required preventative maintenance operations including lubrications, fluid changes, and minor diesel engine maintenance.
• Completes accurate written records of work performed.
• Provide education to customers on equipment operation and performance.
• Travel within assigned region, as needed, to customer job sites to provide equipment training, maintenance, and repairs.
• Mentor and train apprentice technicians/mechanics.

Position Overview: OSG Mining (Pty) Ltd is seeking experienced and safety-conscious Drivers to support our mining operations across Gauteng and surrounding regions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of minerals, materials, equipment, and personnel to and from mining sites. Key Responsibilities: Transport mineral loads (ore, aggregates, etc.) from mining sites to processing plants or stockpile locations. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, company policies, and mining site rules. Keep accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and delivery logs. Operate heavy-duty vehicles such as tipper trucks, flatbeds, or lowbed trailers as required. Assist with basic loading and offloading when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned vehicles. Requirements: Valid South African driver’s license (Code 10 or Code 14) with valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP). Minimum of 3 years of driving experience in mining, construction, or heavy logistics sectors. Knowledge of mining site safety protocols and haul road procedures.
