GL & Treasury Accountant #manufacturing&designAbout the job GL & Treasury Accountant #manufacturing&designThe Finance Department requires a highly motivated and experienced GL & Treasury Accountant to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations.This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing treasury functions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Working closely with various stakeholders across the organisation, the GL & Treasury Accountant will lead a small team, drive process improvements, and contribute significantly to the financial health of the company.This role demands a strong individual contributor with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and a proactive approach to optimising financial processes.Responsibilities : Team Management : Guide and support a small team of staff.Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff.Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.Delegate tasks effectively and ensure a balanced workload within the team.Fixed Asset Accounting : Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of additions, disposals, depreciation, revaluations, and tracking asset movements, transfers, and disposals.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including IAS 16, and tax legislation.Run fixed asset register system processes, including depreciation and month-end asset closure.Perform periodic fixed assets reviews for changes in useful lives and or impairments and update and reconcile findings within the fixed asset register.Manage the disposal of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Treasury Management : Oversee weekly treasury operations, including cash management, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange transactions.Monitor cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.Manage bank accounts and perform regular reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely identification of discrepancies.Process local and foreign payments, ensuring proper authorization and adherence to internal and exchange controls.Manage and reconcile prepayments and deposits, ensuring accurate accounting treatment and proactively managing renewals and refunds to optimise cash flow.General Ledger Accounting : Oversee the entire general ledger process, from transaction recording to financial reporting.Review and analyse accounting transactions, ensuring proper authorization and adherence to company policies.Ensure timely and accurate processing of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.Manage and reconcile petty cash, credit cards, and staff advances, ensuring compliance with company policies.Assist with various journal entries including Salary, Accrual, Interest and other journals.Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, escalating complex issues to relevant stakeholders.Prepare and analyse monthly recharge schedules across the Group, ensuring accurate cost allocation.Review and analyse VAT reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate VAT accounting.Month-End Responsibilities : Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Ensure general ledger reconciliations and schedules are completed timeously and accurately.Ensure compliance with month-end reporting deadlinespliance and Reporting : Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.Assist with external reporting and submissions including Statistics SA surveys.Prepare and submit relevant reports, including monthly financial reports and regulatory reports.Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and their impact on financial reporting.Process Improvement : Analyse existing accounting and treasury processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.Drive automation and the application of best practices within the team.Proactively identify and address challenges within the department, contributing to solutions and process improvements.

This includes undertaking ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned or required, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to supporting the overall success of the finance function.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on general ledger accounting and treasury management.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency in accounting software (Sage X3), Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong work ethic and commitment to ethical conduct.Start your next career today!

The Senior Service/Product Design Architect is an advanced subject matter expert, responsible for executing the relevant business unit strategy through the development of sustainable, scalable, best practice service offers.

This role works with Service Offer Management to define and scope new services and service capabilities and interacts with key stakeholders including Sales, Delivery, Platform and our clients, to ensure that the design of services will meet the real needs of clients across a global marketplace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops paper prototypes for review with clients and stakeholders to ensure scope and definition is feasible and viable.
  • Documents Internal Service Definitions for new service offers and service capabilities.
  • Facilitates ideation and design workshops to validate needs, and identify solution designs at a process, platform an organization level.
  • Coordinates with other architects, designers and subject matter experts responsible for detailed solution designs.
  • Ensures that designs meet the common and specific design principles to be applied to a service.
  • Leverages best practices in design thinking, scaled agile, ITIL, security – to design best-of-breed service solutions.
  • Conceptualizes designs by conducting detailed analysis of service design and architecture frameworks, to ensure the design is fit for purpose and meets client requirements.
  • Analyzes pre-sales concepts and influence design decisions to ensure that they are operable, maintainable, scalable and robust through an end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Plans design activities in detail, making sure that all relevant aspects and client requirements are considered during service design, specifies any technical infrastructure to be created, as well as required organizational changes.
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining all design documentation including blueprints and produce a service design model which is delivered to the transition phase and contains all the necessary details for all phases of the life cycle.
  • Assesses architecture components and validates and verifies technical models to ensure risks are minimized and technical service designs are rolled out within the agreed service levels (SLA’s) and operating levels (OLA’s) and are fit for purpose.

  • Accountable for leading the Design & Merchandise teams for the specific brand providing strategic guidance to those teams, ensuring business process & structure aligns to customer & business key objectives
  • Accountable for the management of the supply chain from concept through to delivery including trend, design and development, merchandising, raw material operational management, pre-production capacity planning and manufacturing

Qualifications And Experience

  • The successful candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience in the Design and Manufacturing of apparel, ladies fashion preferable.
  • Experience in managing a team across various job functions.
  • Must have dealt directly with major fashion retailers within the South African market.
  • Experience in dealing with performance management and general conduct within a team is required.
  • Expertise in inventory planning and forecasting to optimize stock levels
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills: Experience liaising with vendors, manufacturers and key stakeholders eg.Heads of Function
  • Commercially minded with a good understanding of profitability, pricing strategies and margin management: A strong understanding of consumer behaviour and market dynamics is key

Job Description

As a Product Manager, your primary focus will be translating customer needs into intuitive user experiences while ensuring that design decisions align with broader product goals. You'll work at the intersection of design, product management, and user research, bridging the gap between business requirements and seamless digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a well-thought-out and functional product
  • Translate into design for development
  • Own the design process from concept to execution, translating customer needs into engaging and intuitive interfaces
  • Make use of the ShadCN design library to put the design elements together
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and/or Creative Director to conduct research, design, and prototype new user experiences
  • Develop user cases, scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for screens and flows
  • Create visual assets and document design guidelines for implementation

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience in UX/UI design, product design, or a related field
  • A strategic approach to design—thinking beyond aesthetics to consider usability, accessibility, and business impact
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Experience with user research, journey mapping, and data-informed design decisions
  • Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout principles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient copywriting skills in English
  • Dedication, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor

Additional Requirements

  • Analysis of user journeys
  • Working with design systems and symbol libraries
  • Access to a Mac with Figma (or preference for this design tool)
