Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attaining New Dealers
- Maintaining Relationships with Dealers
- Quoting Clients
- Sales
- To contact dealers and ensure relationship building to increase the number of leads received and ultimately sales made.
- Meeting minimum daily call targets.
- Adding new dealers to dealer book.
- Adding new dealers on CURA.
- Maintaining relationships with new and current dealers through calls, emails and via WhatsApp.
- Gathering information from clients in order to provide them with insurance quotes.
- Explain to customers about new products and benefits, ensure all knowledge of insurance products is up to date.
- Selling the relevant quote to the client and assisting them in making an informed decision regarding their insurance cover.
- Perform customer negotiations and reach a fair conclusion.
- Liaising with Underwriting: make sure the client has been transferred to Underwriting to get the policy underwritten.
- Ensure that all admin is completed daily.
- At all times, update Cura with all details pertaining to last conversation with client.
- ILD test – attending training and passing tests on a monthly basis.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- MATRIC – NON NEGOTIABLE
- Call center experience – HIGHLY beneficial
- Sales experience – beneficial
- Retail experience – beneficial

- Communication Skills: written and verbal: the capacity to clearly present information.
- Building Relationships: Capacity to establish constructive and effective relationships.

Salary: R8 000 per month + uncapped commission.

With a strong footprint in the credit insurance market, they are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join their Trade Credit division in a junior management capacity.
POSITION INFO:
As a Junior Trade Credit Broker, you will support the placement, servicing, and management of trade credit insurance policies for a portfolio of corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in trade credit insurance broking and a solid understanding of credit risk, policy structures, and client servicing within the credit insurance space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the structuring, placement, and renewal of trade credit insurance policies with both local and international underwriters.
- Maintain and grow client relationships by providing proactive advice, policy servicing, and renewal support.
- Analyse clients’ credit exposures and identify suitable insurance solutions to mitigate risk.
- Coordinate with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and ensure compliance with market practices.
- Assist with claims notifications, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Prepare policy documents, endorsement instructions, and relevant reporting.
- Support senior brokers and client executives with administrative, technical, and client-facing responsibilities.
- Keep up to date with developments in the credit insurance market and contribute to product innovation and improvement.
- 3–6 years of experience in trade credit insurance, preferably within a broking environment.
- Familiarity with trade credit products such as whole turnover policies, excess of loss, and political risk cover.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles and client financials.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with credit analysis tools is an advantage.
- A relevant qualification in insurance, finance, or risk management is preferred.
- RE5 and/or FAIS compliance advantageous.
- Strong client service orientation with a commercial mindset.
- Analytical and detail-focused.
- Able to manage multiple client needs and timelines.
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
- Eagerness to grow into a more senior client-facing broking role.
