- Preferably possess an understanding and working knowledge of the CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM at IGCSE & AS Level.

- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching History (Grades 8 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John’s D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS.
- Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in History, with PGCE
- Have experience with teaching other subjects (preferable)
- Have extra-mural coaching or managing experience (advantageous)
- Be willing to do support classes after school where required.
- Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
- Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
