Key Responsibilities and Duties:
This position will require, but is not limited , to the following activities:
- Assisting the module lecturer with facilitating contact and distance delivery of module material;
- Guided lecturing and conducting tutorials in accordance with the requirements of the programme outcomes and in accordance with the accredited programme outlines;
- The tutoring of 2/3 of modules per semester (depending on class size);
- Lesson planning, tutorial content and marking tutorials, activities and formative assessments;
- Provide student support for contact and distance learning;
- Participate in the monitoring & evaluation of the academic programme, including attendance and maintenance of student records;
- Conduct marking and participate in the moderation processes;
- Attend regular meetings with respective lecturer, faculty meetings and general staff meetings;
- Ensure both hard and electronic filing of all required documentation, including tracking and reporting on at-risk students;
- Adhere to centralised policies and procedures that ensure outstanding quality and unquestionable integrity of all academic programmes that are offered;
- Attend relevant marketing activities for the school (i.e. Open days etc.)
Qualifications and Experience:
- A BCom degree and currently enrolled or completed Honours/ PG Dip degree in: Accounting / Statistics
- Experience in facilitating student learning, engagement and activities via respective LMS platform would be advantageous.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and to providing the highest quality experience for students

- Ability to achieve deadlines
- Experience in conducting research, conducting evaluations and handling confidential documents with discretion.
