ResponsibilitiesKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
Strategic HR and IR Management
- Develop and implement the site HR and IR strategy aligned with the mine’s operational goals and corporate HR and IR objectives.
- Provide input into workforce planning, talent strategies, and succession planning.
- Act as a key advisor to management on organisational design, change management, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Advise on strategies related to industrial relations including on site unions, wage negotiation strategies, stakeholder engagement and conflict management.
Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for site-based positions, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-calibre talent.
- Oversee onboarding and induction programmes for new employees to ensure successful integration into the workplace.
- Build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to support employment equity and local recruitment initiatives.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Lead and manage employee relations on site, including handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary processes in line with company policies and labour laws.
- Foster constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives to ensure a stable labour environment.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and productive workplace culture.
Performance Management & Talent Development
