MCE Electric is looking for a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our logistics team in Johannesburg. As the face of our company on the road, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their orders accurately, on time, and with exceptional service.

• Deliver on Time : Safely transport goods along scheduled routes and meet delivery deadlines.
• Customer Interaction : Provide friendly and professional service to customers during drop-offs.
• Accurate Paperwork : Complete all delivery documentation and digital logs correctly.
• Vehicle Care : Conduct daily vehicle checks and minor maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Load & Unload : Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring careful handling.
• Drive Safely : Always comply with traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Teamwork : Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch staff to meet operational targets.

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (or equivalent).
• Valid South African driver’s license with a clean record .
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential.
• At least 2 years of delivery driving experience , preferably in logistics or electrical goods.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Strong time management and route planning abilities.

About The Role

Delivery Drivers play a crucial part of the team within GSF Car Parts. They are the face of our brand by delivering parts to customers and continuously providing excellent customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are important to us, giving customer feedback insights and ensuring we stay committed to delivering goods within the promised time.

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of a high-performing organisation and promoting the Company brand through positive interaction with customers.

Main Duties include:

1. Delivering product to customer’s premises within a 40-mile radius
2. Ensure high levels of customer service at all times
3. Feedback to branch on relevant customer and competitor activity
4. Load your vehicle according to procedures
5. Collect customer returns as required
6. Vehicle maintenance including carrying out daily checks
7. Help in the warehouse as and when required
8. Assist with Inter-Branch Transfer Deliveries as and when required

Working hours:

20.5 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

1. Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 points
2. Must have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
3. Excellent knowledge of 40-mile radius of branch
4. Previous experience within a delivery driver role
5. Ability to understand the necessity of excellent standards of customer service
6. Work to deadlines with good time-keeping skills
7. Customer-focused, driven to achieve and willing to go the extra mile

Delivery Driver

Responsibilities will entail the following essential functions and duties:

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses, through different routes and time schedules
• Follow routes and time schedules
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle/ motorbike
• Comply with company vehicle policy
• Collect payments

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Valid SA driver’s license
• Valid South African ID
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Reside in Brackenfell or surrounding areas
• Good driving record
• Own Transport

• Provide a professional and efficient delivery service on the Uber Connect platform.
• Maintain an acceptance rate of 80% or higher.

Requirements
