Job Description

Collaborate in preparing yearly plans for specific specialties, with a focus on strategic specialties, including budget allocation, tracking, and event management.

Develop relevant professional education events to address Ethicon's needs in South Africa.

Organize and fully execute Professional Education activities based on Marketing strategy and the overall CEESAT Prof Ed strategy.

Manage selected South Africa national and local training centers.

Take responsibility for establishing new Centers of Excellence or acquiring new faculty when necessary.

Foster relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare institutions, professional associations, and academic institutions to identify collaborative opportunities and support the implementation of professional education initiatives.

Monitor Health Care trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes relevant to professional education in the medical field, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with marketing and business managers to ensure event content aligns with key messaging and ideal faculty selection, facilitating the delivery of desired messaging.

Evaluate the effectiveness of professional education programs through pre- and post-event assessments, participant surveys, and outcome measurements, utilizing insights to continuously improve program quality and relevance.

Represent Ethicon at industry conferences, symposiums, and other relevant events to network, share insights, and stay abreast of industry developments.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and innovative teaching methodologies to incorporate into professional education programs, enhancing effectiveness and engagement.

Coordinate with Business Compliance specialists on administrative processes such as HCC, ARIBA, e-Marketplace, bookings, invoices, and logistics.

Assist in event registration and managing HCP registrations in registration systems.

Work with Business Compliance and Legal representatives on contracts and legal processes.

Ensure full compliance of ProfEd events and processes with the help of HCC representatives and Business Compliance specialists.

Utilize event management platforms for management and tracking (CVENT, Tracking Files).

Analyze post-event feedback from customers, field force, and training establishments, and implement suitable improvement measures.

Communicate ProfEd events calendar to Sales teams through emails, newsletters, and meetings.

Review faculty presentations before each event and initiate the copy review process when necessary.

Ensure faculty are equipped with relevant, high-quality, and up-to-date materials.

Contribute to Professional Education PR channels with data and success stories.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in medical education, access market, sales or pharmaceutical promotion is a strong advantage

  • In this role, you will perform a variety of operational tasks to support learning programs.   • This role requires you to take on two key areas of responsibility :

Regional Responsibilities

  • You will lead the Associate Partner cohort for the region. This includes developing learning priorities and plans for Associate Partner-level colleagues, defining learning objectives and needs, creating the learning calendar, and identifying appropriate delivery channels, e.g., Learning Days, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa sessions, etc. You will collaborate with the central Associate Partner learning team to ensure that programs leverage the latest knowledge and align with the firm’s approaches and materials. Additionally, you will work closely with local office stakeholders to ensure that all programs are relevant and tailored to the local context and priorities.
  • In this capacity, you will also serve as the strategic lead for the upper-tenure cohort. This involves reviewing the overall strategy and journey for Team Leader transitions to Associate Partner, and working closely with the TL cohort lead to integrate learning journeys, experiences, and communications. Furthermore, you will support the EEMA Learning Manager in executing the EEMA Regional Learning strategy and contribute to regional learning projects, such as program improvements, content updates, and cross-functional initiatives with the firm’s Learning team.
  • You will support the Learning Manager in designing and rolling out Personal Development Journeys for the Africa Office, specifically for the Engagement Manager and Partner cohorts, in collaboration with external coaches. You will take the lead on all aspects of program delivery. Additionally, you will support the office and its locations with local learning programming by acting as a thought partner on program design and impact. You will enable local teams to deliver their agendas by sharing best practices, processes, and materials, while collaborating to ensure alignment with regional and firm-wide learning agendas. This approach will help optimize shared resources and ensure a complementary learning strategy.
  • As a Learning Specialist, you will support in the execution and rollout of the Regional Learning strategy within EEMA, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, with a special focus on Africa. This is a full-time position in Learning.
  • You will work closely with the Regional Heads of Learning, the local office Director of People, EEMA Consulting teams, and other people stakeholders in your local office location and across the region.

Hire Resolves client in the agriculture industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a E-Learning Specialist in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Responsibilities: Design and develop interactive e-learning content using authoring tools like Articulate and Adobe Captivate. Apply instructional design theories to create effective online learning experiences. Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate objectives into e-learning content. Design learning paths and structured e-learning programs. Manage and maintain LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas). Troubleshoot LMS technical issues and monitor learner progress. Create and edit multimedia elements like audio, video, and graphics. Develop and analyse assessments to improve course design. Conduct usability testing for course functionality and clarity. Stay updated on e-learning trends and implement feedback for continuous improvement. Experiment with new teaching methods and technologies like VR or gamification. Manage e-learning projects, timelines, and deliverables. Report monthly on training conducted, planned, and feedback received. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, instructional design, IT). 5-6 years of related experience. Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and hands-on LMS experience (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard).
