We are preparing to bid for a major international digital learning and simulation labs project in Sudan. To build our local team, we are seeking a Project Manager.
Duties
- Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project, TFS, or other project management software.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to capture stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Implement project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban) tailored to specific project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and performance through effective use of SDLC principles and PMBOK guidelines.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that deliverables meet quality standards.
- Manage risks and issues proactively while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Prepare status reports and presentations for senior management using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Oversee release management processes to ensure smooth deployment of software solutions.
- Utilize analysis skills to evaluate project outcomes and implement improvements for future projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development or IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, SQL, Oracle databases, and cloud computing technologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, VersionOne, or Visio.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and IT governance is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Proficient in test-driven development practices and release management processes.
