Duties & Responsibilities- Plan and implement moves, adds, changes, and deletions to support the IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for maintaining information on purchases for the assets registry.
- Implement network security at levels set by corporate standards.
- Anticipate difficulties or problems relating to IT and ensure that contingency plans are in place.
- Work with the IT team to implement and support internal IT systems and proactively address IT change requests from stakeholders.

- Administer and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure and manage all telephone changes.

- Ensure that company IT assets are maintained according to company standards.

- Manage troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, disaster recovery, and provide expert support while identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Provide the financial department with IT financial information and manage the purchasing of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies within budget constraints.
- Facilitate the motivation and development of the team by aligning project tasks with team members' career interests while attaining goals and giving feedback on performance.
- Manage IT suppliers and SLAs.
- Perform any other duties consistent with the position of ICT Team Leader.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5 years of experience in a senior/team lead IT role (preferably in the contact service centre industry: in-house centre within airline industry or international customer care outsourcing provider) advantageous.
- MCSE, CCNA certificate, and ITIL qualification required.
- Advanced knowledge of the following Systems: Windows 2003 and 2008 Server, Cisco Systems, VMware, Exchange 2003, Soft Grid 4.1 or later, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Advanced knowledge of Networking concepts: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, MPLS.
- Web Technologies would be advantageous.
- Well-developed knowledge of Telephony applications and concepts.
- Well-developed knowledge of the Genesys Suite of products is an advantage.
Proven track record of organisational and planning skills is essential.

● Strong automation skills, including experience with unit testing and automated testing tools.
● Delivers small pieces of work continuously. Prefers shorter feedback loops and aims for all work to go to production.
● Understands when and why to use a branching strategy and recognises when a branching strategy has gone too far.
● Strong technical background in build, release, and environments, with experience and expertise in software build tools, CI tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, and Github Actions.
● Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows. Comfortable working on the command line.
● Solid understanding of Cloud Computing providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with functions, containers, and virtual machines.
● Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM,Pulumi).
● Understanding of telemetry practices (monitoring, graphing, alerting, anomaly detection) and tools (e.g., Elastic, Grafana, Datadog, Sensu, Prometheus).
● Proficient in network implementation, debugging network issues, and collaborating with networking teams to build and maintain networks.
● Experience running, operating, and supporting software in production.

Job Description
To support and automate the delivery of software and infrastructure solutions in the organisation by focusing on streamlining development and operational processes, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications to meet business objectives.
Support the establishment of CI / CD pipelines, system monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of production systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
Provides foundational technical expertise and serve as a vital contributor to the team's operational efficiency and quality improvements.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) pipelines to automate software delivery, ensuring faster and more reliable deployments.
- Monitor system performance and infrastructure health to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring uninterrupted availability of critical applications.
- Configure and maintain cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools to ensure consistent provisioning and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure that infrastructure is appropriately designed to support those requirements.
- Perform routine system upgrades and patch management to ensure that software dependencies remain secure and up to date.
- Develop and maintain scripts for system automation and process optimisation, reducing manual effort and operational overhead.
- Provide first-line support during production incidents by investigating and resolving application or system-level issues promptly.
- Document and maintain operational processes, including deployment procedures, monitoring configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to ensure team knowledge continuity.
- Conduct routine backups and recovery drills to validate disaster recovery plans and protect critical data assets.
- Implement basic application monitoring solutions using tools to enhance observability and early issue detection.
- Support security compliance efforts by configuring systems in line with the organisation's regulatory and governance standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and recommend preventive measures to improve system reliability.
- Assist in performance testing of applications to ensure scalability and compliance with service-level agreements.
- Participate in code reviews for deployment scripts to maintain consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews to identify areas of improvement in system design, monitoring, or incident handling processes.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared accountability for success.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with evolving DevOps tools and best practices, driving innovation within the team.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements and taking ownership of their implementation to contribute to a high-performance environment.
- Maintain a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring that potential issues are addressed before they impact business continuity.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and knowledge sharing to empower team members and create a collaborative working environment.
