Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings for weapons and their components.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD models and technical schematics using CAD software.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, parts lists, and technical specifications.
- Ensure that all designs meet the clients quality standards and are produced within project timelines.
- Perform design analysis, including tolerance checks, stress analysis, and material selection.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations to support project development.
Key Qualifications
- Type of qualification: Engineering Degree
- Experience: 2+ years required
- Essential Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA
- Preferred Software: Simulation software (MSC One, Ansys)
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of design and implementation thereof

- Discuss and report findings from the 2LoD reviews to engagement teams, including Partners and EQCRs, and assess whether significant findings have been adequately resolved before the audit opinion is signed.
- Assist engagement audit teams, as part of the 2LoD review process, with guidance and coaching in relation with the KPMG Audit Execution Guide (KAEG) (KPMG audit methodology), KPMG policies, International Standards of Auditing (ISA's), PCAOB standards, ISAE, ISRS, the International Standards Reporting Manual (ISRM) and locally issued South African Auditing Practice Standards (SAAPS) and JSE reporting guide.
- Assisting with the preparation of training to engagement audit teams on trends identified during the 2LoD reviews, relating to KAEG, KPMG policies, Clara (audit software tool), ISA's, ISRM and SAAPS.
- Stay up to date with developments in local standards, ISA's and PCAOB standards through timely attendance and completion of training, involvement in internal research and involvement on local topic teams.

Officers are supported by a surveillance centre, providing CCTV monitoring.
We are recruiting a Public Safety Officer to join the team on a fixed-term contract.
The suitable candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions, be able to patrol on various terrains including rocks, sand/beaches, grass and bushes and must be very alert and responsive.

- Grade C - Psira registered and up to date
