Optimi has an opportunity for an experienced Education Specialist to join our Academics department and contribute to the quality, development, and delivery of qualifications aligned with our GuidEd Learning strategy. You must be a self-driven education professional eager to make a visible impact.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Essential)
- Honours or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Preferred)
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in:
- Accreditation requirements across quality councils, SETAs, and DHET
- Development and quality assurance of learning materials and assessment toolsin a TVET space, with a focus on curriculum development as it applies to Occupational Certificates.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Essential)
- Experience with Moodle or other LMS platforms (Preferred)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
DUTIES
- Assist in designing and reviewing academic products aligned with the GuidEd Learning
- Map and develop student journeys in collaboration with facilitators and coordinators.
- Contribute to the development and review of qualifications to reflect evolving educational trends.
- Design and develop new qualifications and short courses.
- Work with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance team to maintain and apply for institutional accreditations.
- Create and maintain assessments that align with curriculum requirements.
- Ensure assessments meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Work with internal departments to ensure an optimal student experience.
- Identify operational issues and propose improvements.
- Provide academic input and updates to relevant departments.
- Track project progress and provide regular reports to the manager.
- Highlight challenges and delays and propose viable solutions.
The position is based in Centurion.

Position Title: Education Sales Specialist (US Market)
Location: 100% Remote
Salary: TBC
Working Rhythm: Our shifts are eight-hours, and we may need weekend availability for any successful candidate. We're covering US business hours coast to coast, so our shifts will likely focus on the hours between 8am on the US East Coast and 8pm out on the West Coast. As an Education Sales Specialist at Nexford, your role goes beyond just closing enrollments – you’ll be a key player in driving our mission to provide accessible, high-quality education globally. This is a highly targeted, consultative B2C sales position where you’ll manage both inbound and outbound calls in a fully remote setting, working directly with prospective learners to align Nexford's offerings with their career goals. The role requires balancing productivity and quality: not only exceeding enrollment targets but also upholding Nexford’s standards through rigorous QA call marking during downtime. Every enrollment you secure contributes directly to Nexford’s growth, helping us expand our reach and impact. Experience selling into the US market is essential for this role.

Skills And Qualifications

- Proven ability to exceed sales targets in a KPI-driven environment, with the discipline to manage your own productivity and prioritize high-impact activities without heavy oversight.
- Exceptional English skills, both written and verbal, with strong numerical reasoning and analytical abilities to interpret data and guide informed conversations.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and active listening; you’ll need to adapt your approach to each learner, guiding them to the right program based on their unique career goals and motivations.

Role Overview
As the Instructional Design Team Lead , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth collaboration within the Instructional Design Team, your departmental colleagues, as well as subject matter experts and stakeholders in other departments. You will lead the coordination of project timelines, manage approvals, facilitate communication, and support the overall workflow of our learning programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structured planning, strong communication, and turning goals into actionable steps for the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan learning design projects with instructional designers, ensuring timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables are met, while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Translate project plans into clear task lists, assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress across the team.
- Serve as the main point of contact for other teams and stakeholders, building positive relationships, ensuring clarity, and aligning expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize and track the status of project approvals and reviews, proactively following up to keep workflows moving.
- Support people management functions such as assigning projects based on skills fit, monitoring capacity, and escalating bottlenecks where needed.
- Develop and manage a limited number of your own e-learning projects as an instructional designer.
- Support broader communication efforts – planning training launches, crafting clear, engaging messaging for both internal teams and client-facing audiences.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance team collaboration and the scalability of INFUSE Academy operations.
- Minimum 3 years of Mid-/Senior-level ID role experience or similar role within the L&D department.
- 1+ year of experience in team coordination, leadership, or project management within learning or related fields.
- Strong AI literacy. Experience with creating custom GPTs and scaling solutions across teams is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience in managing change within teams.
- Stakeholder Management – ability to effectively network & build relationships internally & externally
- Highly organized with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable adjusting plans based on shifting priorities.
