The Role
As our Content Writer, you’ll be a critical part of our Growth team, helping us build a compelling brand presence and engage our audience with high-quality written content. You'll create a mix of articles, case studies, blogs, product briefs, and feature communications - turning technical information into clear, customer-friendly stories.
This role demands someone who can perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple writing projects at once. A love for writing is essential; corporate experience is optional. If you have experience creating content calendars and strategy - that's a major plus.
We also expect you to be comfortable using AI tools like GPT to manage workload and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Write engaging blogs, articles, and website content that resonate with our target audience.
- Turn complex product and feature briefs from the Product Team into clear, customer-facing communications.
- Craft compelling case studies that showcase customer success stories and product impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Growth teams to ensure messaging is aligned.
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support drafting, idea generation, and scaling output efficiently.
- Help plan and maintain a content calendar (if you have the experience).
- Contribute to the development of broader content strategies (if applicable).
- A passion for writing — this comes first.
- Ability to work at speed and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong storytelling skills with attention to tone, audience, and brand voice.

Our client is an integrated industrial marketing agency in Fourways looking for an experienced writer. Portfolio of clients are B2B and B2C, niche industry focus being Technical and Trade.
As a talented copywriter, the ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of content marketing, social media, public relations and a keen eye for design. Your passion for writing will assist in the generation of press releases, content for websites, newsletters, emailers, blog posts, adverts and brochures. You will be working closely with the creative team and account managers, working from concept all the way through to production.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the creative and account services teams to determine the copy direction for content and writing projects
- Generate web content in line with current SEO strategies
- Interview clients and write application stories / case studies/press releases
- Generate suitable, newsworthy content from white papers
- Create creative content for print and digital adverts and banners
- Work to tight deadlines and thrive under pressure
- Ensure copy meets client brand guidelines
Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in copywriting /journalism/english/media studies or related fields
- A minimum of 4 - 6 years copywriting experience within a PR or digital agency
- Strong conceptual and writing skills with a comprehensive knowledge of the Digital and or PR landscape
- Ability to create concepts and copy that deliver on creative briefs and aligns to business goals
- Impeccable grammar and spelling
- The ability to transform business-to-business (Industrial) information into engaging and topical copy
- Writing experience on other platforms such as Publishing, Radio or TV, Campus Media will not be considered as suitable experience
Personal skills and attributes:
- An extraordinary grasp of the english language
- Be flexible to different writing styles

- Thick skin and ability to take criticism

Position Overview
SearchTides is seeking a talented and creative Content Writer who excels at crafting engaging articles that naturally incorporate client backlinks to join our industry-leading SEO and link-building agency.
If you have exceptional writing skills, a sharp creative mindset, strong research skills, and a deep understanding of how to build meaningful context around a target URL and anchor text, this could be your perfect fit.
The ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate and knowledgeable about US sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB).
As part of our Content Team, you will create high-quality articles for backlink purposes. You will receive briefs (including target URL, anchor text, and publishing website) and will be responsible for suggesting relevant topics, writing the article, and ensuring natural and relevant integration of our links. This role requires creative thinking to be able to craft content that feels natural to the publishing site’s audience, while subtly and strategically embedding our backlinks.
Responsibilities
- Propose engaging relevant topic ideas
- Write well-researched, original, and high-quality articles (between 600 and 1000 words)
- Build context around the anchor text to naturally integrate backlinks
- Submit content to our Editorial team and complete any revisions if needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience writing for backlink building, or guest posting (+1 years)
- Passion and knowledge of US sports
- Ability to follow briefs and content guidelines
- Familiar with AI tools
- Comfortable working independently
- Professional attitude toward communication, deadlines, revisions and feedback
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Gmail, Slack
- Must have access to a computer and reliable internet
- Knowledge of link building is preferred
Nice to have
- Previous experience writing in sports betting
- Experience with databases such as SeaTable or AirTable
