About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Cloud
Architect (Senior Manager level)
to lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions across a range of industries and technologies. This role is
technology agnostic
, meaning it requires deep architectural expertise and experience across multiple cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, private/hybrid cloud), rather than alignment with a single provider.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and solution design, with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid cloud models.
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering cloud solutions across infrastructure, application, data, and integration layers.
  • Proven experience in
    software development
    (e.g., Java, .NET, or Python), with a solid understanding of how engineering drives good architecture.
  • Strong working knowledge of security, networking, automation (IaC), DevOps/DevSecOps, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud migration, multi-cloud strategies, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF, SABSA, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks is a plus.
  • Certifications across multiple providers (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) are desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor and provide feedback and insights from customers/partners and be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
  • You will land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.
  • You will support customers through the adoption lifecycle, through planning, adoption, deployment and optimization as you support increasing drive of Microsoft security products utilization as you lead technical solutioning and nurturing across the customer journey.
  • You will deliver technical presentations & demos and propose high-level solutions and work with key Microsoft and Partner resources to drive deployment & customer adoption Identify cross sell/upsell/Unified opportunities through customer engagement.
  • You will align your individual skilling to team/area demands and Customer Success goals and accelerate customer outcomes - Share expertise, contribute to IP creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes.
  • Run Architectural Design Session to build a plan for implementing the solution – governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
  • Collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The AWS Cloud Solutions Architect will partner with the AWS brand and sales teams to design, architect, and, where feasible, assist in implementing AWS services and solutions for business partners and their clients. This role provides technical guidance, showcases the value of AWS solutions, and supports partners throughout their AWS journey, helping them grow their AWS business.

The role requires solving complex business challenges using AWS services, managing the technical sales cycle, conducting technical demonstrations, delivering enablement workshops, and engaging with partners and clients as a trusted technical advisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage weekly with AWS vendor technical counterparts to stay aligned on solutions, updates, and technical support.
  • Conduct at least four proactive technical engagements per month with business partners to provide guidance and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to participate in at least four partner engagements per month, supporting technical sales initiatives.
  • Deliver all technical pre- and post-sales activities as required by the AWS brand, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to partners and clients, assisting them in understanding and leveraging AWS services and solutions.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations, workshops, and enablement sessions to showcase AWS value propositions and solutions.
