OverviewMain purpose :
To proactively identify, analyse and mitigate risks that could impact SIU operations, assets, personnel and information. To lead a team to mitigate the risk and respond to incidents, and also collaborate with other State agencies (State Security Agency SSA), South African Police Service (SAPS), National Prosecution Authority (NPA) and Defence intelligence to address threats and intimidations and recommendations to mitigate the risks.
Key responsibilities- Threat Intelligence & Risk Identification. Risk Assessments & Analysis. Security Training & Awareness. Incident Response & Forensics. Vulnerability.
- Grade 12 Certificate. PSIRA Certificate Grade A. National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Security Risk Management or Diploma in Policing or related field (NQF6 / 7).
- 3 Years of experience in the security-related field, of which 3 years are at a supervisory or management level. SSA Security Advisory / Management course as an added advantage.

ResponsibilitiesTo contribute to the development and maintenance of the Risk Based Approach through the Client Risk- & Business Risk Assessment frameworks and methodologies, pertaining to all client relationships, products & services offered anywhere in the Group across all jurisdictions. Exercise oversight & provide advice on the implementation of the frameworks & methodologies to ensure that business is undertaken in a risk appropriate and compliant manner to avoid operational losses, fines, penalties or reputational damage to the organisation.
Qualifications- Degree in Risk Management, Business Commerce, Legal, Audit or Information Science
- 3-4 years - The role requires an expert in Compliance with profound knowledge of the full dimensions of the field, but deep expertise in the relevant area of specialisation. Regulatory environment savvy, with the proven ability to influence all levels of employees across multiple countries and business areas to effectively implement compliance frameworks.
- 5-7 years - AML/CFT frameworks across different jurisdictions. Strategic planning and operationalisation. Risk assessment and risk based approach to compliance. Policies, procedures, guidance and advisory. Technology software i.e. MS Excel, Power BI, SAS, etc.
- 3-4 years strong data analytics/data understanding experience.
- 3-4 years research development is essential.

- Oversee internal and external audits
- Management of all legal and other compliance requirements
- Technical support and development of SHERQ Management Systems
- Report on effectiveness of the SHERQ Management system and make recommendations for improvement, and closing the loop to Snr and Plant management
- Monitor workplace to ensure safe conditions are in place and maintained
- Monitor compliance of SHERQ training
- Ensure effectiveness of audit findings and mitigation actions taken
- Verify effectiveness of risk management process
- Conduct Annual SHERQ Management Review Process
- Manage internal, cross business and contractor audits
- Manage effectiveness of SHERQ strategies
- Manage effectiveness of HCS management process
- Manage the Shop Floor Audit Process and ensure loop is closed
- B-Degree / Higher National Diploma / Masters Diploma (NQF 7/10) in Health, Safety and Compliance
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in a managerial role
- Good knowledge and understanding of the risk management process
- Good knowledge and understanding of the SHERQ Training process (including FPS)
- Good Knowledge and understanding of the following systems/disciplines is essential:
- ISO 9001 Standard
- ISO 14001 Standard
- ISO 45001 Standard (including FPS)
- ISO 31000 Standard
- RCA Process
- Legal and other requirements with regards to Compliance Matters
- Trend analysis and Action based orientated
