Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area

DUTIES:

For consideration to this position, candidates MUST have successfully completed A.L.B.A.T. (American Line Builders Apprentice Training) or an equivalent lineman training program, possess a High School diploma or equivalent and have or be able to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License and be a journeyman lineman.

As a condition of acceptance on this job, candidates who are otherwise qualified will be required to take and pass the appropriate State/Federal driver's licensing requirements, medical testing and drug screening and the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) test.

DUTIES:

Under direct but not constant supervision, to do a full range of overhead line construction and maintenance work on the electrical transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems; to do such work on lines either dead or energized and at all voltages; and to perform similar and less skilled work as required.

There is a 40-mile domicile requirement.

Hourly Pay:

Grade Step FA 035 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 53.42 USD

Our client in the manufacturing industry is currently seeking to appoint a Production / Line Manager to be based at their premises in Industria, Johannesburg.

Requirements:

  • 6 years’ prior experience as a Production Manager/ Line Manager.
  • Must have experience with rubber.
  • Line management courses and tertiary education will be preferable.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Must have some knowledge of machinery.
  • Must show initiative.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • To ensure that rubber is produced to enable the company to meet the orders of our customers.
  • To ensure that moulds are changed correctly as per mould change checklist to enable production to meet the orders of our customers.
  • To maintain records as may be required by management.
  • Annual KPI’s are met as agreed and signed annually (per signed KPI’s for year)

Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Line Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of their dog cookie production line . The ideal candidate will ensure that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. You will lead a team of operators and packers, maintaining a smooth workflow while upholding food safety and hygiene regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate activities of workers on the dog cookie production line, including baking, cooling, packaging, and labeling. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet daily output targets. Ensure compliance with pet food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000) and company quality assurance protocols. Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper machine functioning and hygiene. Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and downtime logs. Train and motivate team members, enforcing safety rules and proper production procedures. Troubleshoot and escalate any production issues or equipment malfunctions. Liaise with quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations. Drive continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable. equirements: Matric / Grade 12 required; a diploma or certificate in Production Management or Food Technology is a plus. 3 years experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment (pet food industry experience preferred). Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards applicable to pet food production. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Willingness to work shifts or overtime as needed. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with automated baking and packaging machinery. Experience with batch traceability and inventory systems. Understanding of pet food regulations and standards (local and international).

Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise production line teams to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing of pet food products. Conduct regular inspections and audits of machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
