- Analysis of client’s system requirements pre implementation
- Assist with new clients’ onboardings and new systems implementation projects
- Provide Business As Usual support for ongoing matters on Portals Maintain Investor Portals configuration and setup to optimize systems according to business requirements
- Manage vendors actively for development and enhancements Monitor, troubleshoot and analyze issues within the Investor Portals
- Assist in client onboarding and new systems implementation projects
- Assist in training the business users and updating training guides
- Any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires
Skills Required
- B.Com or similar tertiary business study with Information Technology exposure
- 1 – 5 years’ experience within the financial industry (preferable)
- Experience in accounting/ financial sector; An aptitude for working with systems
- Experience in a fund accounting system advantageous
- Project management
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong team player
- Solution orientated & strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and attention to detail
- Must show initiative to constantly improve processes
- Ability to prioritize issues at company level
- Good understanding of operational controls framework.

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that educates students across academic units including Accounting, Economics, Industrial Psychology (Human Resources Management), Information Systems, Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS), Institute for Social Development, Political Studies, Management and Finance Clusters, School of Government and the Academic Literacies Programme.
The Department of Accounting has accreditation with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). The Department offers a three-year undergraduate degree and a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) towards SAICA’s Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC). The Department also offers an alternative three-year degree in Accounting, which is accredited by the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA).
The successful candidate for Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Accounting Information Systems will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
- Facilitating learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, primarily in the area of Accounting Information Systems
- Assist with the integration of digital acumen into the core disciplines of the accounting programme, namely Auditing, Cost Accounting and Financial Management, Financial Accounting and Taxation
- Provide academic leadership and administration at subject level
- Undertake curriculum development and assessment
- Engage in academic administration
- Conduct research and publish
- Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
- Participate in community engagement and outreach
- Contribute to the co-ordination and management of the Department’s teaching and research programmes (Senior Lecturer level only)
Minimum Requirements – Senior Lecturer:
- CA (SA) qualification and a relevant Master’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in Accounting Information systems or related courses
- A record of publications, preferably in the field of Accounting Information Systems
Added Advantages:
- A PhD in the field of Accounting Information systems or related field
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching on SAICA accredited Accounting Information Systems or related courses
- A record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at Honours and Masters level
- Recognized academic leadership (e.g. subject head, programme coordinator, module coordinator)
- Extensive practical experience in the development of professional academic courses and programmes in Accounting Information Systems or related courses (e.g. SAICA or an equivalent accreditation)
Minimum Requirements – Lecturer:
- A CA (SA) qualification
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in Accounting Information systems or related courses

The Senior Analyst: Financial Systems is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining insightful management information, and implementing systems that enable effective decision-making and operational efficiency.
Principal Elements And Accountabilities
- Management and approval of all documentation required to on-board new clients
- Work with the Group Head of Systems and MI to support the development and maintenance of the Group’s MI strategy
- Work closely with the rest of the Systems & MI team to take on board their understanding of the systems that support the Financial Accounting and Control environment and how this will impact the configuration of the systems that support our MI reporting and distribution environment
- Build relationships with Financial Business Partners, Group Head of FP&A, the Head of Commercial Finance, and members of the Financial Control team to gather the reporting requirements and develop and maintain solutions in order to ensure their needs are met timeously
- Work closely with the Business Systems and BI development team in IT in the development and maintenance of our MI reporting tools (primarily the Anaplan, Power BI and other related applications), and to develop efficient solutions for the distribution of MI to stakeholders
- Build knowledge of the business and reporting tools, but also leverage off the
- Manage the development pipeline for new and enhanced MI required by the FP&A team, Finance Business Partners, and all other stakeholdersN & P SO
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of the reporting that is being developed and help to design controls to guard against inaccurate reporting
- Training of end-users of reporting, but also members of staff that may need to train others
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or relevant work experience.
- Specialization in Accounting, Statistics or Information Systems (recommended)
- Implementation of and/or use of Anaplan (or equivalent) at a model builder level
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting (incl. cash flow)
- Production of Management information for use by the CFO and business
- Design of reports using Power BI (or equivalent)
- +3 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of the use of SQL / MDX / DAX and/or “Data Wrangling” (R / SAS / Python etc.) would be an advantageous
- Knowledge of MS Dynamix AX / NAV (or other multi-ccy ERP system) would be an Advantage
- A background in financial/ multi-dimensional modelling would be an advantage
- Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint – Advanced
- Ability to deal with management and staff at all levels and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to train users of systems at all levels
- Great attention to detail, alongside excellent organisational skills
