How you’ll make an impact
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for Small Business customers and Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners. Working closely with global marketing, PR & comms, creative teams, as well as sales and operations teams and external agencies, you’ll deliver on the regional marketing plan.
You will work with stakeholders across the business to develop and implement marketing activity ranging from tactical initiatives to multi-channel campaigns to effectively achieve the business’ brand and commercial goals, reporting against KPIs. You’ll work with our Brand team to drive awareness and consideration of Xero, whilst supporting both regional and global teams across Xero to deliver beautiful experiences for our customers. Youʼll be a collaborative problem solver, who thrives on working with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
With years of experience in marketing, you will have excellent executional skills. You will be naturally motivated by seeing growth outcomes and feel an urgency to deliver solutions, programs and outcomes that can be clearly measured.
What you’ll do Campaigns Marketing:- Support the development of regional marketing plans and strategies, with responsibility for strategically important activity
- Plan, implement, and optimise multi-channel campaigns, incorporating digital marketing, content marketing, email, TV, BVOD, Radio, OOH, direct mail, events, PR/comms, sales enablement, education and other relevant channels
- Support Enterprise partners with tailored marketing activities
GTM Initiatives
- Working in partnership with Product Marketing to take new products, features and value propositions to market. Defining activity, timelines, segmentation and messages.
Measuring Performance:
- Embed measurement and optimisation into your campaign activity, seeking continuous improvement
- Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure Marketing generated opportunities and opportunities to optimise performance are acted upon
Community champion
- Develop a deep understanding of our AB and SB audiences and act as the voice of the customer, championing their needs within the business

- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties on sponsorship and community opportunities

Job Description
As the Lead Release Engineer, you will serve as the key linkbetween development, testing, and domain teams to
ensure the seamless and timely delivery of software
products and features. You will be part of the entire release
lifecycle, from planning through execution and post-release
monitoring, driving continuous improvement of release
processes in a fast-paced DevOps environment.
Your expertise will support efficient, automated, and reliable
deployments across multiple platforms including Flutterbased
mobile apps and cloud infrastructure.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Release Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate in creating and managing comprehensive release plans, including timelines, dependencies, rollback strategies, and communication protocols.
- Facilitate coordination of releases with cross-functional teams by consolidating changes and maintaining clear, up-to-date release logs accessible to all stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-release risk assessments and scope discussions to ensure readiness and alignment.
Deployment & Release Execution
- Execute the release process from development through production, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub Actions, JFrog, and Firebase.
- Conduct deployments across multiple environments (e.g., Integration, Staging, Production) and app stores (Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Huawei AppGallery).
- Monitor deployment health, proactively troubleshoot issues, and implement rollback plans when necessary to maintain system stability.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the central point of contact for all release-related communications, ensuring clear expectations and transparency across development, QA, product, and domain teams.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, stand-ups) to report release status and address blockers.
- Document release processes, best practices, and post-mortem reports to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Release Process Improvement
- Identify and lead initiatives to enhance release efficiency, including automation of manual tasks, workflow optimization, and adoption of new tools (e.g., SonarCloud, NowSecure, DataDog).
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in release engineering and DevOps, recommending relevant innovations
Leadership and Mentoring
- Mentor junior release engineers by sharing technical knowledge and promoting professional growth.
- Guide the design and implementation of new release automation frameworks and tooling to scale release capabilities.
- Establish and maintain release standards and governance to ensure consistent and reliable delivery.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or related roles, preferably supporting mobile and cloud-based applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with mobile app distribution platforms: Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Huawei AppGallery.
- Proficient in containerization and artifact management tools, including Docker and JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience with static code analysis and security tools such as SonarCloud or NowSecure.
- Working knowledge of cloud services and monitoring tools like Firebase and DataDog.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles, release management best practices, and automation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-team collaboration.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of driving process improvements.

SOME OF THE TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM
- Researching reputable media, government, regulatory and law enforcement sources to build and maintain relevant data in LSEG applications
- Using open-source research methods to gather information in the public domain
- Identifying regulatory and financial risk such as money laundering, fraud, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, and corruption
- Becoming familiar and staying up to date with guidelines and regulations to ensure accuracy and high quality of delivered work
- Collaboration with globally based teams on shared projects
