What youll need

    • Demonstrated experience formulating wet food products, particularly purees or similar semi-solid systems.
    • Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, including hydrocolloids, stabilisers, emulsifiers, preservatives and functional additives
    • Experience conducting laboratory trials, pilot trials and supporting manufacturing scale-up.
    • Experience with companion animal products, particularly cat and dog nutrition
    • Good understanding of food safety systems and quality management within a manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of pet food ingredients, feed additives, nutritional supplements and palatants
    • Understanding of South African feed legislation applicable to companion animal products.
