We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Stock Controller to join our Finished Goods Stores team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing all stock control activities to ensure inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our finished goods inventory, supporting production, quality, and distribution functions.
You will manage inbound and outbound stock movements, conduct physical and cycle counts, handle returns and rejections, and maintain accurate records on the ERP/WMS system. Your contributions will directly support the organisation's service delivery, cost management, and quality objectives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
**How you will contribute**
You will:
+ Receive and verify finished goods from production against production orders and delivery documentation, and capture goods receipts accurately on the ERP/WMS system
+ Validate delivery notes, batch numbers, and quantities on inbound finished goods, and communicate any exceptions to the relevant stakeholders (Production, Quality, Planning)
+ Print and issue labels for finished goods pallets and maintain a register of labels issued to the storeman
+ Print pick slips, allocate to storeman for picking, and review open pick slips to ensure timely completion of outbound activities
+ Create Stock Transport Orders (STOs) and picking slips for outbound deliveries, complete goods issues, and ensure accurate loading and dispatch documentation
+ Coordinate relabelling and correction of finished goods, and correct system discrepancies related to returns
+ Prepare for and conduct physical inventory counts and cycle counts
+ Identify and communicate stock discrepancies to cross functional teams (production, quality etc.)
+ Perform daily checks of stock in quality hold status, escalate quality-related issues to the Quality Department, and conduct daily checks of Finished Goods Stores to ensure GMP compliance
+ Adhere to all health and safety requirements, coordinate collection of safety documentation (BOS, QRP, Near Miss reports) for the manager, and report unsafe acts or conditions immediately
+ Participate in daily shift handover meetings and conduct start-of-shift briefings with stores personnel
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5S, Kaizens, and One-Point Lessons (OPLs)
