- Develop and implement advanced bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of large-scale genomic and transcriptomic data (e.g., WGS, RNA-Seq).
- Design and conduct computational experiments to identify genetic markers, predict gene function, and elucidate biological pathways.
- Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to design experiments, interpret results, and provide bioinformatic support.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, reproducible code and documentation for analytical workflows.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics, genomics, and related computational fields.
- Present research findings at internal meetings and potentially at external scientific conferences.
- Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and statistical methods for biological data analysis.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a collaborative and productive research environment.
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Genetics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in bioinformatics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, and experience with bioinformatics libraries and tools.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance computing environments and cloud computing platforms.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing large genomic datasets, including variant calling, gene expression analysis, and pathway enrichment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a remote team setting.
- A proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Published work in peer-reviewed scientific journals is highly desirable.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
