We are looking to hire a Network Technician to join our growing team within the Infrastructure Delivery team. The position responsibilities involve delivering the hardware, configuration and fiber connectivity of interdependent scaling projects across several data center locations. The Network Technician will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution in association with Technical Program Managers.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has significant experience in supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. They will be highly competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.
Network Technicians are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively. The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success
Key job responsibilities
The Network Technician works closely with their teammates and Technical Project Managers to deliver scaling projects following and being active part for both the Cabling Installation and the Deployment phase, respecting deadlines and Team service level agreements (SLA's).
SAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) and Ability to work off of a ladder and work in confined spaces.

Basic Qualifications

A technology company in Randburg is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer.
POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a hard-working, innovative, and passionate Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, in a vertically integrated, high-growth company active in the railway,
commercial truck, defence, and mining sectors. With facilities in South Africa and the United States, we design and manufacture cutting-edge electronic products, combining in-house SMD manufacturing, PCB assembly, embedded systems, and precision CNC machining.
Our 450+ employees share our commitment to excellence and engineering integrity. This position is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer seeking exposure to advanced power electronics, embedded hardware design, and the full product development lifecycle—from concept to serial production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the concept design of embedded and power electronic systems
- Select components suitable for harsh industrial and EMC-critical environments
- Develop schematics and guide PCB layout, with a focus on power density and thermal optimization
- Design with EMC compliance in mind
- Oversee prototyping, validation, and iterative testing
- Perform low-level firmware development and support software-hardware integration
- Collaborate on production readiness, including DFM/DFT planning and cost optimization
- Support quality assurance, including hardware validation and root-cause analysis
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in power electronics, embedded systems or related fields
- Strong understanding of switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, inverters and gate driver design
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, and KiCAD)
- Familiarity with C/C++ for embedded microcontrollers (ARM, DSP, or similar)
- Experience in EMC troubleshooting and compliance design
- Excellent problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to continually learn
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
