Quality Checker Vacancy Location: JHB - Eastern Suburbs
Duration: TemporaryPurpose of the Role To ensure that all hair colour products and packaging components meet company, customer, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the packing process. The Quality Checker is responsible for conducting in-process quality inspections, verifying packaging and coding information, monitoring compliance with GMP requirements, identifying non-conformances, and ensuring accurate quality records are maintained.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine in-process quality inspections on packed products throughout production.
- Verify that the correct product, packaging materials, labels, leaflets, cartons, and shippers are being used.
- Inspect product appearance, packaging integrity, print quality, coding accuracy, and overall presentation.
- Ensure all products comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Perform line start-up checks before production begins.
- Conduct hourly quality checks and record inspection results as required.
- Verify batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and product codes for accuracy.
- Monitor product weight, count, and packaging configuration where applicable.
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Quality-related training or certification will be advantageous.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Knowledge of packaging quality standards and defect identification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately.
