Job Description:
  • Manage the full accounting function
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Perform general ledger, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Oversee month-end and year-end processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Support debtors, creditors, and general finance administration functions
  • Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders when required
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies

Skills & Experience:
  • BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Experience using accounting software such as Pastel, Xero, or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills

Qualification:
  • BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Job Description:

  • Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance across multiple entities
  • Process and accurately capture all financial transactions
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and UIF returns
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with SARS and all statutory requirements
  • Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll compliance
  • Maintain employee records, leave schedules, and payroll deductions
  • Administer and manage tenant lease agreements
  • Generate monthly tenant invoices and monitor rental income
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for medical representatives, including flights, accommodation, and vehicle rentals, with after-hours support when required
  • Reconcile medical representatives logbooks against Fleet Card statements and verify subsidiary allowances for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial processes and reporting requirements
  • Prepare financial and payroll reports while supporting the Chartered Accountant with accounting and compliance-related requirements

Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years' proven accounting and finance experience
  • Proven ability to manage the financial operations of multiple entities simultaneously
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage Online, Pastel Partner, and SimplePay
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and report on financial data
  • Experience using online banking platforms, including FNB and Standard Bank
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements
  • Professional, mature, and highly ethical approach to work
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and drive results
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
  • Reliable, accountable, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative team player who is willing to support colleagues when required
  • Own reliable transport and ability to travel as needed
