? Now Hiring: Dispatch Manager
Ottery, Cape Town | Full-Time | Manufacturing / Distribution

We are looking for a hands-on and organised Dispatch Manager to take ownership of the dispatch function and component stores within a busy manufacturing environment

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, team leadership, customer interaction and making sure that factory requirements and customer orders are handled smoothly from start to finish

What you’ll be involved in:

? Managing Component Stores
You’ll be in charge of making sure the component stores are running smoothly, with enough of the correct parts available daily to keep the factory operating efficiently

? Daily Issuing to Factory
You’ll manage the daily issuing of components to the factory and ensure that stock movement is accurate, controlled and properly recorded

? Invoicing and Shipping Coordination
You’ll handle the paperwork for customer orders, prepare daily invoicing and ensure orders are sent out on time via courier services or road trucking companies

? Dispatch Planning
You’ll coordinate the preparation, checking and dispatching of customer orders to ensure deliveries are accurate and completed within required timelines

? Team Management
You’ll lead and manage a team of approximately 8 to 10 staff members, ensuring that everyone understands their responsibilities and that the department runs smoothly

? Customer and Supplier Interaction
You’ll be the main point of contact for customers and suppliers, assisting with queries, resolving issues and maintaining professional working relationships

? Stock and Documentation Control
You’ll monitor stock movement, manage discrepancies, ensure records are updated correctly and maintain accurate dispatch, stores and invoicing documentation

? Operational Problem-Solving
You’ll assist with resolving dispatch delays, stock issues, delivery concerns, customer queries and day-to-day operational challenges

Qualifications and Experience:

? Matric
? Previous experience in a Dispatch Manager, Dispatch Supervisor, Stores Manager, Warehouse Manager or Logistics Management role
? Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, warehousing or distribution environment would be preferred
? Experience managing component stores or stock issuing to a factory environment
? Experience with daily invoicing, customer orders, courier dispatch and road freight coordination
? Strong staff management experience, ideally managing a team of 8 to 10 staff
? Good customer and supplier communication skills
? Computer literacy, including MS Office
? ERP, stock control, warehouse or dispatch system experience would be advantageous
? Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
? High attention to detail and accuracy
? Must be able to work in Ottery, Cape Town
