Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • National Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering (excluding heavy current) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in object-oriented programming (e.g. Python, C#, C++, VB)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Knowledgeable about the vehicle's electric/ electronic systems (brakes, airbag, lights, etc.)
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve root-cause problems
  • Ability and willingness to contribute innovative solutions and ideas
  • Capable of effectively and efficiently communicating topics to the target audience (including management) by compiling and presenting presentations/ analysis
  • Able to work well under pressure and make sound decisions
  • Have sound organization and project management skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams with other engineers

ADDED ADVANTAGE

  • 3 years of experience in vehicle manufacturing or related field to vehicle electronics
  • Basic understanding of the German language
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Experience with VBA in Excel
  • Experience with vehicle electronic diagnostic systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishing root causes and implementing corrective actions for allocated problems
  • Providing specialized support to production regarding vehicle electrics/ electronics by using various company diagnostic and analysis systems to resolve vehicle electronic issues
  • Test, analyze and resolve issues relating to vehicle harness, control unit software and electronic faults on prototype/ pre-series vehicles before the new vehicle launch
  • Compile and present findings/ reports at various forums
  • Coordinating cross-departmental teams within the company focusing on problem resolution of vehicle electronic topics
  • Liaising with overseas counterparts concerning build and quality matters
  • Develop, implement, and manage vehicle electronic diagnostic and test equipment within the Pilot hall workshop
