Full Job Description

A growing Cape Town-based company is looking for a bright and hungry individual to join their team.

Duties:

  • Processing customer experience reports online
  • Picking out facts that are questionable and following up to find the correct information
  • Eliminating ambiguous writing, inconsistencies and contradictions
  • Telephonic and email correspondence with external sources to clarify or provide additional information
  • Ensuring client specifications are adhered to
  • Providing feedback to external sources to improve their quality of reporting
  • Adhering to in-house style guidelines
  • Editing reports for spelling, grammar, factual correctness and an adherence to standards

You must be able to:

  • Meet regular, tight deadlines.
  • Deliver quality work conforming to the company’s high standards
  • Display speed and accuracy ensuring enhanced turnaround times, without compromising on quality
  • Ensure adherence to client requirements and specifications for several clients
  • Follow up and give timeous feedback as and when required

Personal skills/attributes

  • An ‘editing’ eye – it is essential that you possess this skill
  • Intelligence
  • An obsession with accuracy
  • Scrupulous about detailed work
  • Outstanding command of written English
  • Self-motivated to work on his/her own, and to meet deadlines
  • Good judgement, to gauge which changes are necessary without losing meaning
  • Good communication skills
  • Grammatical expertise
  • Skilled in all Microsoft Office programs and able to learn in-house report processing system quickly
