Civil/Structural Engineer
Location:East London
Summary:Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in designing, analyzing, and evaluating structures such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. The candidate should be proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and have excellent problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
Responsibilities:- Design, analyze, and evaluate structures to ensure they meet safety and building code regulations
- Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to develop structural designs that meet project requirements
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend repair or reinforcement measures
- Stay current on industry trends and developments to incorporate new technologies and best practices into projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- PrEng/PrTech required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
- Must be able to speak isiXhosa fluently
- Must be willing to engage in business development
- Must be willing to relocate to East London
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
