My client is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join their CAPEX team. You will be responsible for leadership, management, and control of the Contracts Management Unit, ensuring that all contracts' purpose, scope, objectives, constraints, and risks are developed and managed and to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects in line with company strategic objectives.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Quantity Surveying + registration as a Professional QS OR LLB Degree + registration as Arbitrator with Arbitration SA in Construction Contracts.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the implementation and installation of multi-disciplinary packages in brewing, packaging and utilities departmentsat their Prospecton site. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on managing contractors, project timelines, safety, and quality during the execution phase. Disciplines to be managed include process and mechanical installation (rigging, piping, site assembly etc.), electrical installation, civil works, and interfaces with other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, scope, and deadlines.
• Supervise the installation of brewery equipment as specified in the different procurement packages.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, OEMs, subcontractors, and external vendors.
• Enforce site safety, compliance, and quality standards in line with AbInBev’s HSE policies.

Strong familiarity with structural erection processes and relevant construction standards.

Ability to independently solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Flexibility to work in remote locations for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all SHEQ activities for the Construction division nationally, in alignment with company and client standards.

Ensure legal compliance with OHSA and MHSA, as applicable, including relevant regulations and standards.

Drive cross-site learning and best practice sharing, helping build a proactive SHEQ culture across teams.

COMPETENCY PROFILE Related Experience

Minimum 8 years' experience as a Safety Manager or similar, in a multi-site construction environment.

Demonstrated experience in Construction under MHSA as well as OHSA legislative frameworks.

Experience in the Mining, Petrochemical, Power Generation, and Water Treatment sectors advantageous

Qualifications

BTech / Advanced Diploma in Safety Management (NQF level 7)Essential

Other Requirements

Own transport and valid drivers license; willing to travel extensively

SACPCMP registration at CHSM levelEssential
