Job Description


Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with 3+ years warehouse experience and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity
  • Dispatch, logistics, transport coordination experience
  • MS Office proficient and Syspro (or similar) essential
  • Knowledge of hazardous goods handling advantageous
  • Valid Code 8 drivers, own vehicle and valid forklift license required

The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Dispatch Execution & Control:
  • Oversee daily long-haul dispatch operations from planning through to execution.
  • Ensure all loads are accurately picked, checked, and loaded according to dispatch plans.
  • Maintain full alignment between physical stock, documentation, and system transactions.
  • Monitor dispatch performance to ensure all deliveries meet scheduled timelines.

Transport Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with transporters and 3PL providers to secure vehicles and confirm schedules.
  • Ensure optimal vehicle utilization and compliance with legal load limits.
  • Adjust dispatch plans proactively based on operational constraints or delays.
  • Maintain continuous communication with drivers during transit.

Syspro & Supply Chain Transfer (SCT) Control:
  • Create, validate, and manage all inter-warehouse transfers (SCTs) in Syspro.
  • Ensure all transfers are: Captured accurately; Approved prior to dispatch and Physically aligned with loaded quantities.
  • Reconcile system stock vs physical stock before releasing any load.
  • Investigate and resolve: Duplicate transfers; Unprocessed SCTs and Stock discrepancies between sites.

Compliance & Documentation (TREM Cards & Legal):
  • Ensure all hazardous and applicable loads are dispatched with valid TREM cards.
  • Verify: Correct UN numbers; Product identification aligned to SDS and Emergency contact details.
  • Maintain TREM card register, including version control and expiry tracking.
  • Conduct pre-dispatch compliance checks to prevent legal or safety risks.
  • Ensure adherence to SANS and company safety standards.

Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise Dispatch Storemen, Checkers, Packers, and support staff.
  • Allocate daily tasks and ensure productivity and accountability.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance.
  • Maintain discipline, safety awareness, and operational standards.

Communication & Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Liaise with: Warehouse teams (receiving, picking, production); Sales Administrators and Transporters and 3PL partners.
  • Communicate delays, issues, or risks proactively.
  • Ensure alignment between departments to support smooth dispatch operations.

Inventory Accuracy & Control:
  • Ensure all inventory movements are supported by valid documentation.
  • Conduct cycle counts and participate in stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances.
  • Prevent dispatch of incorrect or unverified stock.

Reporting & Performance Management:
  • Monitor key reports such as: Open orders; Planned vs actual deliveries and Dispatch accuracy.
  • Track KPIs, including On-time delivery (OTIF/DIFOT); Load accuracy and Dispatch productivity.
  • Provide feedback and improvement plans to Warehouse Management.

Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce all health and safety regulations within dispatch operations.
  • Ensure correct PPE usage and safe handling of goods.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings ("Hot Potato Talks").
  • Maintain high housekeeping and hazard-free work areas.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify inefficiencies in dispatch, transport, and system processes.
  • Implement improvements to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Support automation and system enhancements (Syspro, reporting, routing)

Sal ary: R15 000 R16 000 per month CTC, including Provident

  • Monitor and optimize the process units & ancillary services and equipment in accordance with the Requirements and Quality Specifications as per SOP / O&M manuals / Training / Contractual Requirements.
  • Oversee the performance of operation and maintenance staff
  • Confirm and carry out all required process adjustments on all related equipment as per the SOP / O&M manuals / Specifications / Performance Requirements
  • Prepare and forward operational performance reports to Management referring to statistical data and qualitative information gathered through investigations and inspections
  • Manage compliance with KPIs
  • Conduct fault finding activities and root cause analyses
  • Compile shift rosters, time sheets and control overtime
  • Ensure that housekeeping is maintained, which will include cleaning of floors, screens, equipment and sensors
  • Perform any other duty as requested by the Plant Manager
  • Comply with Legal requirements, MHSA / OHS
  • Assist in setting up preventative maintenance plans and reports for the unit processes
